Pros: Very tough and limp, they offer line for just about every fishing situation. Cons: They cost a little more then most comparable lines.
New from Spiderwire is their line of Super Mono. Spiderwire, a company known for basically inventing today's modern Braided fishing line has entered the field of Monofilaments. They didn't do it by just ...
Pros: High quality fishing line that's a step above their competitors. Cons: None
Spiderwire the fishing line professionals use Spiderwire has been around for quite a few years. It has just recently become popular over the past five years. I have never really been too particular about my brand of fishing line because ...
Pros: Small diameter. That's the reason I bought the line. Cons: Small diameter that breaks as easily if not easier than normal mono the same diameter.
I purchased this line because of the small diameter. Later, I read reviews saying this line broke real easy. I wish that I would have read the reviews before I bought the line. I have been bass fishing for over twenty years. I have caught 10 lb. bass on 12 and 14 lb. test line (Stren). Using the XXX Super Mono today, two fish in the 2-3 lb. range broke me off. It is the absolute worst line I have ever fished. I wouldn't recommend the line to anyone. If you ever had a couple of fish (smallish) break you off you know what it feels like to lose confidence in a part of your equipment that is so vital to your success. The cost is high for an inferior product to normal mono. If you don't want to have any doubts about your fishing line, stay away from this product.
I have never been compeled to write a review. Since I can't recover my wasted money (2 spools- 14lb and 17 lb test at over $8.00 ea., maybe I can help someone avoid the same experience.
Pros: it looks nice and the package is spider logo is cool Cons: the product itself
that is the first word that comes to mind about this line. I bought a 350 yd spool of 12 lb test because the diameter was the same as berkley trilene 8 lb test and I wanted a stronger line on my trout rig. I mostly fish the gulf coast and you never know what you may run into so I wanted streength and durabilty and I figured that is what i was getting ... BOY WAS I WRONG!!! This stuff is as brittle as grandma's pralines from christmas in 1954!!! Just like everyone else from down here in New Orleans I was born with one hand on a bottle and the other on a fishing pole and this is the worse garbage I ever tried using .. It is fraeing up against the guide on my rod! in thirty + years on the water I have never seen such a thing. not only that but thatnks to the line and my my determination to try and catch fish i lost probably 30 bucks woirth of gear including my good mirrorlures and top dawgs.
