Given our love of chocolate and baking, the Spin Master Hershey's Chocolate Magic Maker seemed a natural and I found it on sale for $12.95 (US) so we picked it up along with the 4 D batteries necessary to get started.

The toy sat in the kitchen for 3 days until I had time to go and purchase the chocolate necessary to make the treats as no chocolate or decorations came with the kit.

The candy was easy enough for an 11 year old to make with supervision but the toy didn't melt the chocolate as quickly as it stated on the package even after pre-heating for the full recommended time. The cooled candy popped from the molds very well but clean up was more trouble than it was worth.

After just one use, it sat on a shelf and the few times I made time to use it again, no one seemed interested enough to go through with it.

Eating a Hershey bar is easier and just as satisfying.
