Spring PCS good deal

by Beawriter , Jan 28 '01
Pros: Easy to use, convenient, reasonably priced.
Cons: Sometimes get cut off.
Even though I have some problems with being cut off mid conversation, I still like my Sprint PCS cellular phone. This was a gift from my son. We previously had another service with Mobil. They were taken over by Verizone and that's when my troubles...

I'd Keep This Phone Forever, but

by msuribe , Dec 30 '00
Pros: Lightweight, Durable, Easy to Use
Cons: No longer the latest or greatest!
I'd keep this phone forever, but I get bored with the same phone after a year or two..

We bought this product when it first came out. My husband and I usually buy the same phone item so that we can share batteries and chargers when traveling...

How many speed keys does a Touchpoint have?

by tanster Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Dec 18 '99
Pros: Light, small, lots of speed keys
Cons: Call goes to phonemail after only three rings
I originally bought this cell phone to keep in the car for emergencies. The Touchpoint, however, is so light and convenient, that I find myself taking it pretty much wherever I go.

What's cool about the Touchpoint
• It's light,...

Cutting Edge...

by JuiceJW , Jan 10 '00
Pros: Internet, Digital clarity, Screen
Cons: Network not perfected yet
I recently gathered up the nerve to trade in my silver Nokia 5120 for Sprints all digital service as well as their PCS Touchpoint.

The Touchpoint is an attractive piece of equipment, with a much larger lcd screen than any other phone on the...

Sprint Touchpoint 1100, what a hot little phone!

by sulj99 , Nov 12 '00
Pros: Small, easy to use, practical and cute phone.
Cons: Single band, no belt clip yet.
Last month I finally traded in my dinosaur cell phone for the latest in mobile communication, the Touchpoint 1100. This single band phone is no bigger than a pager, light and has all the latest bells and whistles.
To be specific:
Long life...

Silence is not always golden

by cdwilli1 , Aug 19 '00
Pros: Touchpoint navigator, charges fast.
Cons: Relatively fragile, some annoying ergonomics.
If you want to use Sprint Wireless Internet, there is only one phone that fits the bill, and that is the Touchpoint (it says Qualcomm on the back, but there does not seem to be a similar Qualcomm branded product).

I have had a whole bunch of...

Great phone, great features--and great size!

by Dave70968 , Jun 21 '00
Pros: Good features, great size, very usable
Cons: Sprint coverage spotty
A few months ago, when I started looking into buying a cell phone, I realized just how small the little buggers had become. Dave Barry recently wrote a tongue-in-cheek column referring to a cell phone the size of "a single grain of rice;"...

Dual-Mode: Superb quality, excellent sound

by jclip , Dec 08 '99
Pros: Dual mode, great design, excellent reception
Cons: None that I've found
I've had my Touchpoint Dual Band for a couple of months, and I'm very happy with it. The thing is built like a tank--Denso is a little behind Nokia in the solid feel catagory, but I think fitting the big screen and mouse-device in such a relatively...

I love this phone!

by eltonlin , Jun 16 '00
Pros: big screen, highly intuitive, very user friendly, flip functions great, nice battery life, sync w/ PC
Cons: size, harder to find accessories, need sleeker design
One of the most intuitive phones I've ever used. The interactive flip function allows you to answer and hang up calls. the rocker switch provides easy navigation of the menus and options.

The best part is the phonebook features. As a person...

Good features, smart design

by Liz , Jul 26 '99
Pros: Mousepad navigation, easy contact storage, 99 speed dial numbers
Cons: single-band only
With a sleek design, this small phone fits easily in a purse and provides a ton of great features. It's definitely slimmer and
lighter than many other cell phones. It can store up to 99 different contacts(automatically alphabetized), each with one...

Unexpectedly nice phone

by pushijima , Feb 11 '00
Pros: Well designed, feature-laden, fairly priced
Cons: No intelligent text entry (for wireless web), flimsy flip
I wouldn't have thought that a phone that carried the service provider's brand would be a quality phone, but I was wrong. This phone has good call quality and reception. It feels rugged, save for the flip. It's interface is pretty intuitive for new...

Excellent Dual-Band Phone

by cswc44 , May 07 '00
Pros: easy to use; scheduler
Cons: pricey;not the smallest phone available
If you're signing up for cellular phone service for the first time ever, it's important to choose the best provider FIRST and the best phone SECOND. If you choose Sprint PCS, you're obligated to buy one of their phones that works on their network,...

Pros: service plan, clarity
