Kenya is one of Starbucks most unique roasts. While each batch certainly has it's own unique dignity, there are several attributes which run constant through every bag.
The most noticable quality of Kenya is how juicy it tastes. Yes, juicy! This coffee has a high acidity, which when coupled with it's naturally fruity notes actually make it taste wetter and juicier in your mouth. This makes Kenya a wonderful Spring and Summer coffee, and also is a great roast for iced coffees.
Starbucks classifies Kenya as a bold coffee, but I believe that this is slightly inaccurate. The level of acidity and natural sweetness make this a medium bodied coffee in my mind, especially when compared to other Starbucks roasts.
The citrus-y smell of Kenya is reminicent of a fruit wine, but the flavor is much more full of character than the smell will lead you to believe.
As a Starbucks partner, I make sure to always have some Kenya at home for myself. This is a fun coffee to drink, and a nice introduction to different roasts.
