Pros: 3-way auto shut-off, quick heating, many steam options, CORD KEEPER, nonstick surface, attractive design Cons: Cord keeper occasionally gets jammed, plug can hit your wrist on its way in
Our family seems to have problems with irons. Apparently we are very hard on them. My husband and I have only been married for 2 years, and we're already working on number 3! However, despite our iron-abusive past, I have high hopes for this one. You ...

Pros: great steam production, easy temperature setting, retractable cord. Cons: Though not heavy, moreso than the lightest irons.
I have an ironing press and use it when I'm doing tons of laundry. I iron everything but linens. I even iron my underwear because I travel and it stores in a smaller space. However, the Elnapress takes 10 minutes to warm up and another 10-15 to cool ...

Pros: Lightweight, inexpensive, irons well, ergonomic for the hands. Cons: Water leaked
We bought the Sunbeam 4214 at Walmart for about $25 based on the Epinion review. It is nicely styled and felt good to hold. The controls looked well designed that might hold up for a while. The water fill cover also looked substantial and probably would ...

It does spit!
by theboaz ,Nov 13 '05
Pros: Comfortable to use, price Cons: spits all over
I used it only once so far, and overall it functions well. It came with a special tag on it that promises that this model would not spill or spit, but it does, especially at high temperature. The funny thing is that the label says "produces steam without any dripping, spitting, or leaking, even at LOW temperatures". What about high temperatures? but I guess it OK for this price, and I'm too lazy to return it. Maybe I would return it tomorrow...

Disappointment
by maunna ,Jan 20 '06
Pros: Ironed clothes better than any other iron I've owned. Cons: After 3 months of gentle use it died - NO HEAT!
I like the look of this iron. It wasn't too heavy; was easy to handle and ironed very well when it worked. The sprayer needs to be adjusted as the spray missed the garment. It also dripped, and the cord did not retract all the way.

Thoroughly Disappointed
by charvel2916 ,Aug 28 '06
Pros: It is lightweight and easy to handle and it has a nonstick surface. Cons: Steam system, regular and burst, doesn't work, spits water and turns off while using it.
Not only does this iron not steam in normal ironing, but the burst of steam worked for only about the first two times I used it. It drips and the cord does not rewind properly. Sometimes while using this iron the on indicator light blinks and it temporarily stops heating. I bought this iron because I liked the Model 3035 so much, that I thought that I would graduate to a higher model. Big mistake!!

Another Disappointment
by tboehlke ,Jun 01 '07
Pros: Handled well when it worked smooth good steam bursts Cons: Quite working does not heat up and leaks water, defective
We have been looking for many months looking for a new iron. This iron had a number of the features we were looking for and worked very well when it works. It slides smoothly over the surface. Steam shot out with good bursts elimiating the wrinkles. We enjoyed having this iron for 2 months, we were pleased with how it operated. It handled fine and the steam out put worked well. We were excited about having a new iron as we have had problems in the past finding one that was reliable. It looks like we are back on the shopping path as this one quit working all together,it gave up the ghost and does not work anymore. Oh where oh where is there a good iron? We are back on the path to look for a new iron. Iron quit heating and it started leaking water. It is totally inoperable. We purchased this iron at Walmart. I do not think it is Walmarts fault. I'm not sure if this is a fluke as it may be a rare occurence for this model. Mayby the majority of them work fine.
