Sunpentown International SF-608R Portable Air Conditioner

Pros: works great
Cons: can't figure out how to clean the water tank yet.

Simply stated, I love it! Fits my needs to have a little extra cooling in a warm office. I highly recommend it!

Pros: ice chamber, automatic swing, timer,easy portability and washable filters
Cons: Hard to find replacement filters if damaged or lost

I bought Sunpentown SF-608R Air Cooler Fan this summer for our unusually hot, dry summer weather. The ice chamber made all the difference in its cooling. Now I am using it for added humidity to compensate for drying forced air heat. The automatic swing, timer and easy portability are wonderful. Not having to replace the filters -- just clean them -- is such a savings! I do wish it was easier to find an additional photocatalysis filter, as I misplaced it at one point.

Pros: low energy consumption
blows cooler air
portable (does not have anything to vent out)
Cons: adds moisture to the room (as expected)
requires adding water (as expected)

In Vancouver BC, on a hot day where the apartment is 30C, the Sunpentown SF-608R blows out air that is about 27C. 

Pros: Price
Cons: Does not cool, service is bad.

really quite an average product that I would classify as borderline substandard. doesn't quite cool and it doesn't quite blow cool air as expected. I am by no means expecting A/C type cooling but it is marginally better than a fan. Customer service at the manufacturer was also subpar and almost impossible to reach. Not only would I not recommend, I would strongly advise against this product.
