Pros: A great way to keep kids safe when outdoors; Easy to transport Cons: The area the gate covers is small
Finding a place for young children to safely play isnt easy. Using the family room or living room as a large play space with gates on the doorways is one way to provide an area where little ones can be contained while they play. But what if a ...
Pros: always know where baby is, sunshade even guards against sunburn! Cons: None that I can find. It's tough, light, and works well.
When I first saw the North State XT Gate, I was a little upset. It looks like a smaller version of what Big John Studd and Hulk Hogan wrestled in about 15 years ago. I couldn't see why I'd ever want to stick my kids in it. But, as I often do, I ...
Pros: Sturdy, solid and large Cons: Inconvenient when traveling
My 15 month old son is too big for an infant swing or bouncy seat, and too mobile for a traditional playpen. Though, being only 15 months old, I cannot allow him to crawl around the house at the risk that he would find the one item that is not ...
Pros: Lots more space than a playpen, easy to use Cons: Sometimes closing it all the way can take some muscle
The Superyard XT is one of the best pieces of baby equipment we found! I always thought playpens made babies look so pathetic, with the high walls and having to look through a screen at everything. The worst is that to play with anyone else, you have to...
Pros: big play area, light, easily put away, easy to clean, can get in with child! Cons: plastic chips, sharp edge, shard of plastic 4 baby 2 find! hard to carry/transport
I couldnt bring myself to to subject my daughter to a tiny "play yard" for a safe play area at home. Whatever happened to the big square ones they had? Couldnt they find a way to make bigger safe playpens? Anyway, I instantly knew I was going to get ...
Pros: Safety, portability Cons: Difficult to fold, slides easily if the baby pushes on it
We have toddler twins and purchased this as soon as they could crawl. While we have baby-proofed the house as much as possible, it was dangerous when they started crawling in different directions! The Superyard XT is a good size, but it was not until we ...
Pros: Fits 2 babies at the same time comfortably. Cons: Difficult to snap together. Not attractive.
We have twins. And with the twins comes 2 of almost everything. We have told the grandparents that the babies can share, but no one listens. So we have 2 babies with 2 talking phones (saying completely different things at the same time). These two ...
Pros: fits into most areas and can be made bigger by buying the extension kit Cons: easily collapsible
My son, who is just one year old, has learned to push on it to get it to move around the room, when he has done that it becomes unlocked. It collapsed on him while he was pushing it around. He was stuck between the two sides laying flat on the ground. ...
Pros: foldable, sturdy, versatile, can buy extra pieces and make it as big as you want Cons: kind of bulky when trying to store, somewhat hard to clean all those spaces.
We breed cocker spaniels and had searched for a 'sturdy' kennel to keep them rounded up in the house. The ones we found were either not big enough or did not look like they would last very long. We saw this and thought it looked perfect. The basic kit we ...
Pros: Safely contains baby, sets up easily, a 'Grandma's Salvation'. Inexpensive price. Cons: A bit hard to open. May be confiscated by family members, for their convenience.
I needed something to protect my newly mobile 8 month grandson at my home. Since beginning to crawl his new nickname is the "Energizer Bunny". There is no stopping him! He insists upon discovering his surroundings, especially the forbidden 'No-No' area ...
Pros: It is a safe and secure yard...LOVE IT! Cons: A bit bulky and can be hard to transport
I love it, my daughter loves it! I can actually walk out of the room and know that she is safe and not getting into things she shouldn't. It is a must! I have mine going around my living room furniture and it is more like a wall. One end between a ...
This is, by far, the best pen out there. We bought the 2 extra pieces and shaped it into an oval to fit on one side of the room. There is so much room in there that even a "claustrophobic" baby won't know they're being caged. This is the only way ...
Pros: Large enough (with extension panels) to not feel confining. Cons: None. Just a wish list for extra features.
I bought two of these two days ago and they have already been worth it. They have done double duty. In the daytime, they keep my one year old nephew from wandering my not-so-childproof house while allowing me to wash dishes, answer the phone, let the ...
Pros: Easy to expand, durable, compact Cons: hard to clean if real dirty.
My wife and I foster abused, neglected, and unwanted animals. We were at a loss for finding anything that was much better than the metal pet cages for many of our animals that really needed some room for exercise but still needed confinement such as elderly pets, those who are recovering from vet visits or those who need to be separated for safety concerns. When we spotted this we knew it would fit our needs, especially with the available add-on kits. It is strong, durable, and easy to use. It folds out of the way when not needed and is easy to move. We do wish it had less nooks and crannies to clean though. The most effective we have found so far is to put in the yard and hose it off. If you don't use it for animals you make have an easier time of it.
