Pros: Does not look like an antenna. Cons: Limited to urban use
Introduction I installed one of these "box" antennas for a customer and was surprised at the performance. The customer had installed the antenna "piggybacked" off of the satellite dish and unfortunately there was a tree directly in between the ...

Great Reception
by alvaro1969 ,Feb 24 '07
Pros: very easy install Cons: None yet
Switching from RCA powered indoor antenna to the Terk gave me an additional 9 channels with clear reception across all except for PBS(fairly clear, except for a little pixelation every so often, but the channel is viewable). I am 25 miles from downtown Atlanta and most of the towers. Setup was a breeze 4 minutes flat, I already had a Direct TV dish mounted on the roof that was not in use, I swapped the dish for the antenna and reconnected the cable, that's it. All the major broadcasting channels are crystal clear with strong signals, including the 2 Spanish channels coming from Athens Ga. (40 Miles on the opposite direction)

Awesome HDTV Antenna
by nshaw65 ,Jan 29 '07
Pros: Easy to install
Matches the color of my dish ( can be painted any color) Cons: A little on the expensive side unless you buy off Internet. I saved 50%.
I live in the central valley of Calif. The closet stations are Visalia, 39 miles, Fresno, 60 miles to the North and Bakersfield 64 miles to the South, according to antennaweb. I wanted to test to see if I could pick up any stations before I mounted it outside. I laid it on the floor in my living room, pointing towards the ceiling and did a channel scan. It came up with 33 channels memorized. I'm receiving all of the Visalia, Fresno HD channels and most of the analog and 2 Bakersfield HD channels. Most of the digital channels are at 50 to 60% signal with NBC, Fresno at 80%. The terrain is flat to the North and South with no obstructions. I'll be mounting it outside as soon as I can figure out how to get the cable into the house without going through a window. If you live where there is no mountains, I highly recommend this antenna.

Terk HDTVs Antenna
by peterkeenan ,Mar 06 '06
Pros: Easy installation. Worked right out of the box. Lightweight Cons: None to speak of.
I was a little skeptical when I purchased this antenna due to some past experiences with rooftop antenna's that never seemed to work very well. I was already paying for the privilege for local channels on DishNetwork but unfortunately was unable to get the HD or Digital channels that were being broadcast. I purchased this unit at Circuit City for 149.00 along with 100 ft. of Terk approved quad coaxial cable. I installed it myself on the side of the house using antennaweb.org's recommendations of angle and direction. I'm roughly 20 - 30 miles from the major station transmitters. It all went well and I am now enjoying all the oddball digital TV channels that are available in Los Angeles. The picture on my HDTV is crystal clear. Life is good and I will be canceling my subscription local stations this week from DishNetwork.
