Pros: Pros: Makes large loaves and makes great baguettes. So Easy to use and well made. Cons: Cons: I do wish it had a light inside. But a flashlight works.
I researched many bread machines including the top of the line. There was a number of negative reviews on the top of the line. This machine T-Fal ...

Pros: See above Cons: Everything was individually packed in plastic. Recycled paper would have been a nicer option.
My old West Bend breakmaker died the good death afteer 4 years of a loaf a day. We tried getting another West Bend and it was impossible to find in Canada. The Black and Decker model we also took back, a horrible recipe book and a machine that was ...

Mmmmm...I am happy with this maker
by gerall ,Nov 08 '08
Pros: Excellent build quality, great versatile bread maker. Cons: It does beep real loud, and is as noisy as my previous makers.
I bought this product after returning my Cuisinart maker. I bought this maker because of its capacity to make 2, 2.5 and 3 pound loaves, as well as 4 baguettes. I first made a batch of baguettes and they came out perfect. Half a dozen loaves of bread later, still perfect bread.
The construction is very solid. The maker has a large horizontal pan and two mixing paddles, as well as a baguette pan. There are cycles to do pretty well anything I want to make. The cookbook is among the best I have seen with lots of great recipes.
The unit includes baguette rack, and slicer, measuring spoon, and paddle digger.
The paddles do not fit real snug on the splines, so you have to go mining for them when the bread is done.

Wonderful machine.
by mitrakaren ,Nov 30 '08
Pros: Light crispy crust Pan size Sturdy construction Bread quality Quiet stable operation 1600 W Cons: LCD screen is a little hard to read. Need a good overhead light
"I owned the old Black and Decker bread machine from 20 years ago or so and the crusts were always so thick and heavy. This machine? - light and crispy crusts. The advertising is true!!!
The bread is light and tender. I love the pan size - a true loaf, not a smallish loaf like other bread pans. Yes, the machine casing is made of plastic, but everything feels very sturdy and inside it looks well made. Love the two large kneading paddles. They really knead well. And the recipe book has some really interesting recipes.
I looked at a lot of other machines and did a lot of research, but could not find a machine with the features I wanted with good user recommendations until I found this one. Other pluses: this one isn't too huge on the counter, its 1600W (wow!), and its quiet and stable on the counter. One thing though - the lcd screen is a little hard to read - easily handled by a fairly good light. Thanks, T-Fal! I'm one happy woman."
