Pros: universal lids, easy to clean, easy storage, detachable handles, can cook, bake, store...theres more.... Cons: none
I have been dying to get new pots and pans for years now. I finally made the move and did it. I bought the T-Fal Ingenio Cookware Set and I am in heaven. Whoever came up with this fantastic technology deserves a big smack a roo from me.
Pros: Easy to Clean, Space Saving, Non-Stick Cons: Lids for pans are "different" & the non-stick surface on the pans can wear away
UPDATE: I am updating this opinion because it was very vague & I have much more information on my T-Fal set now that I've been using it for almost 2 years.
My husband and I received the set as a wedding present in August of 1999. At...
Pros: Ease of cleaning, good non-stick coating Cons: Removable handles are dangerous
The entire time I was cooking dinner tonight, I eyed the shaker of chocolate sprinkles in my kitchen cabinet. For some strange reason, I had the urge to add them to my spaghetti sauce.
No, I'm not pregnant, and when I think about it, maybe...
Pros: Great Concept Cons: Horrific investment!!! (See Review)
I bought the T-Fal Ingenio Cookware Set from an Infomerical about 3 years ago. At first I loved the set. Everything stacked into each other --perfect for a single person in a small aparment. The cookware became containers with plastic lids so that you...
Pros: Cookware, bakeware and storage in one. Easy clean-up and even cooking! Cons: Handles heat up if left on while cooking.
I have always loved to cook. However, when I moved into a cozy apartment;(cozy being defined as extremely small), I found that the tiny kitchen and lack of storage space made it difficult to do the all day baking and brewing that I so enjoyed.
Pros: durable, convenient Cons: hard to keep up with all the handles and lids
After years and years of using only cheap hand-me-down cookware I decided to buy a matching set of pots and pans for my new apartment. I made the mistake of buying from Fingerhut. The pans were very cute and color coordinated with the other garbage I...
Pros: stacks, great non-stick, T-Fal quality Cons: lids drip condensation
After seeing these pans on an infomercial, I was intrigued, but was still happy with my old T-Fal pans. A couple of years after their debut, I decided to bite the bullet and toss the old pans into the garage sale.
Pros: Easy to store, easy to clean, solidly made Cons: Lids do not seal
To state it simply, if you want to cook, all you need is a good set of cookware. All the fancy tools, machines and gadgets won't give you a fraction of the use that a nice, solid set of cookware will. And after you sift through all the hype and...
Pros: Even cooking, low fat cooking, easy to maintain Cons: handles and lids are a pain, some stores over charge for this set.
As many of those who read my epinions probably know, I recently got married. As any newly married couple does, we setup house and needed some pots and pans. T-Fal Ingenio became the pans in our house.
Pros: The storage features, heat distribution from the ADD disk Cons: Those darn handles!
You may have seen my husband’s take on this wonderful set of cookware, but now it is my turn. Having used the set a few times now, I have to say it worked well past my expectations. After fighting the husband for usage of the set, I have finally been...
Pros: The set takes up the space of one pan, and little or no oil is needed. Cons: The large lid does not fit the largest fry pan in the 14 piece set.
When I first saw Ingenio on an infomercial, I was not swayed either way. I only watched for a few minutes. I found myself, however, watching the same infomercial next time I ran through the channels. The next thing I knew I was really impressed and...
Pros: Nonstick, easy to clean, durable, convenient, spacesaver Cons: Not enough pots and metal strainer lids in one set
I am the type of cook who often forgets I'm cooking, therefore the T-Fal Ingenio is the perfect cookware for me. Much too often I would burn my food, later having to scrub like crazy to get the burned on food off the pots and pans. With ingenio, no...
I can tell you that on all three counts, I've found these features to be very handy. In my tiny kitchen, the whole Ingenio set takes up far less precious cupboard space than any of my other pots, pans, gadgets and appliances. That was the main reason why...
Pros: Easy clean up, no need to add oil to pan. Cons: Pan has to heat up or food sometimes sticks slightly.
My mother bought the T-Fal Ingenio last year, and we have not used any other cookware since. I have tried those tests where you burn cheese onto the pan, and it does come right off. The only thing that I have a problem with is that I have found that if...
Pros: stores in minimal space Cons: handles, cleaning
I watched the infomercial and was enamored by the product. I couldn't wait to receive it. Once I got it - I wouldn't use any other product! I still use it quite a bit, but not as enthusiastically.
Pros: storage Cons: Doesn't Last for more than a year
I got the T-Fal Ingenio (fat free) for Christmas 2001. After seeing the infomercial on this pan set I was impressed and had to have one. So I was thrilled to find the set waiting for me on Christmas day. At first I loved these pans, they were great. They ...
Pros: Non-Stick, interchanfeable lids and handles. Cons: hankles come apart too much.
Well after going through several other sets of cookware, including
2 other sets of T-Fal, I came upon this one which I currently have and
use. This set needs to be used on a low flame or #4 or lower for cooking,
otherwise you will ruin the...
Pros: Lots of features. Cons: Short life span, un-needed features, non-stick coating flakes off
Oh, the age of the infomercial! Yes, I too have been caught gaping at the TV, wondering how I ever lived without whatever product they are hawking now. This is how I came upon T-Fal's Ingenio line of cookware. The endless array of options was new and...
Pros: Clean-up really is a snap Cons: Minor problems with accessories
UPDATE: (3/10/2000)
I sit here trying to type without using my left index finger. A few nights ago, I was washing one of the "unique" detachable handles of my beloved Ingenio Cookware, when I felt a sharp pain. The handle...
I received the Ingenio set as a Christmas gift from my husband a year ago. He said he was buying it for me because the box claimed that metal utensils wouldn't harm the nonstick finish. Okay, I've ruined my share of teflon pans by stirring the sauce...
I have always liked TFal cookware. Recently the 20 piece Ingenio Armaral set was on sale at a local store and I bought myself a great present. I use this cookware every single day, and when I do there is a smile on my face! This set is unbelievable....
Pros: space saving, versatile, Cons: nonstick surface on lids chips easily
T-Fal Ingenio is just that--ingenious. Tired of those pans in your cupboards falling all over and hard to retrieve?? No more. These nifty items stack and pack like a dream. No handles sticking out, no large storage areas needed.
Pros: Clever design, super non stick coating, heat, serve store & good looking Cons: NO HIGH HEAT so not all purpose
I've waited a while to write this review, because some of the epinions on T-Fal Ingenio were so negative that I thought I should take a wait and see approach. I'm glad to submit another positive review of this rather unusually designed cookware...
Pros: Sturdy, light weight, well constructed. Cons: Two lids to serve all pans in a set.
I purchased a set of the T-Fal Ingenio about a year and a half ago. There was nothing wrong with the set of cookware I had. But I wanted something new and improved for the new stove I acquired. The T-Fal Ingenio is great for cooking on a regular stove or...
This set of cookware was something picked up by my wife and immediatley put to use.You get 6 different sizes of pans and kettles, 2 interchangeable handles and two basically, universal lids. Nothing sticks to these! we have used them for everything...
My fiance was given a set of Ingenio as a gift. I was very excited and want to use them right away. I had always wanted a set of these pots and pans, but could never afford it. We have had them for about 2 years now and I have to say I am a little...
Just a brief comment about the Ingenio system. I'm very happy with them for the reasons mentioned by others: the major advantage being they nest together and save gobs of storage space. I've had no trouble with the detachable handles, and the pots and...
Pros: Very versatile, long lasting. Cons: surface can be scratched with metal utensiles
I received a set of this t-fal cookware for christmas last year, and i will never change brands again. This cookware is absolutely wonderful! I don't know where to start writing about all the good qualities it has, but i guess i better start somewhere!...
I love this cookware for its true non-stick coating that covers the inside and the outside. Clean up is a snap. Those vented lids are stainless steel with attractive, huge protected knobs. You will realize the importance of this feature once you try out...
Pros: cleans up easily Cons: has spots where coating was not applied and shortage of handles and lids
I bought not one but two sets of T-Fal Ingenio from the infomercial. I have a real problem with not enough covers or handles. I regularly need more than one cover of the same size. I also have a hard time working the handles, and need more of them also....
Pros: less mess, non stick, great storage Cons: safety, warping, tefflon coating flaking
My t-fal ingenio set was supposed to be the dream set of pots and pans that I didn't get as a wedding gift (within the budget constraints of course!). I was thrilled when I purchased the set. All of the bells and whistles like removable handles,...
Pros: Easy to deal with Cons: Not everything it says it is
At first when I bought the cookware, I was so excited and couldn't wait to use it. I had seen all the infomercials, and thought that I would love it. I have owned it for about a year now.
For the most part, the cookware is wonderful, but...
Pros: Easy clean, storage, detachable handles, - burn food and it peels right off, nothing sticks Cons: Lids don't seal, have to use lids from other pots
These are great pots, you can put them in the dishwasher, the oven, on top of the stove, comes with plastic lids to store food in the fridge. The are all purpose and fantastic.
Burn food and it peels right off... nothing sticks!! Have had...
Pros: stackable, durable, storage lids, draining lids Cons: no regular lid
I love these pots and pans! They stack very nicely with interchangeable lids to save space too. I've never had problems with the handles that some people have had. I absolutely love being able to use the storage lids to refrigerate my leftovers. I HATE...
Pros: durable, makes food taste better Cons: maybe a little pricy
As most people know it is hard to find a good cooking set. They break wearout and just dont do the job. Now there is a product that will last you a lifetime at the same time it will make cooking easier and you dont have to spend a lot of money. Anyone...
Pros: easy cleanup, don't need grease/butter Cons: lids a little odd
I got this set of pans for Christmas and I love them. The thing I like most about these pans is that now I do not use any grease or butter when I fry eggs, or whatever I fry. These are truly magnificent cooking utensils. Clean up is a snap just wipe...
Pros: non-stick, convenient Cons: releasing the handle takes some getting used to
Anyone who has cooked with a T-Fal product knows how wonderful their products are to use. I already had a T-Fal set and loved using it everyday. Then I received the Ingenio Set as a bridal shower gift (you know one of those gifts you receive that you...
Pros: Lids change from one pan to another, and pans are stackable. Cons: Watch out for the removable handles
We bought this set at Sam's Wholesale Club last Christmas as a replacement to a set that I had since my bachelor days. Now that it has been three months, I am really wondering if the price tag of a $100 was worth the price.
Pros: It says it's NON STICK and it is! Cons: A little pricey but well worth the money.
Looking for cookware that says it's NON STICK and actually is NON STICK??? Look no more for T-Fal Ingenio is the cookware for you. After not receiving my T-Fal set for a wedding gift my husband and I found T-Fal Ingenio and bought it. This is the best...
Pros: Uniformed cooking with low heat, no oil or fat needed, clean up is unbelievably easy. Cons: no cons
I have used T-Fal for years and refuse to cook in anything else. I bought my first pan in 1980 at a vendor fair in Indianapolis, IN. I have use the Resistal, Classic Plus, Royale. All have preformed well. I also have the deep fryer, iron, utensils...
Pros: absolutely nothing sticks Cons: lids dont fit larger pots
I bought this set at KMart after watching the infomercials forever. I had gotten KMart gift certificates for Christmas so I figured what the heck, I could use some REAL nonstick cookware. It's true, you can burn rice, cheese, just about anything on this...
I have been happy with T-Fal in the past, so I bought the Ingenio set. I was pretty upset when the handles got too hot and burned, making them unusable and leaving the large pots too difficult to handle. My frying pans get a lot of use and I notice...
Pros: The stackable and versatility of the cookware, lids fits all pans. Cons: Cons - Not having a solid lid, and having to buy a separate lid that is solid.
I saw the infomercial and liked the idea of fat-free and stackable cookware. I loved it enough that I bought the extra pieces offered. I also found it on sale at stores later and bought a second set for myself. I bought a 3rd. Set for my RV. I wanted...
Pros: Great non-stick surface Cons: The handle can be tricky
I bought this product from a Infomercial. This was the first time I've ever done anything like that, but I really wanted a good set of pots and pans. I was not disappointed in the quality at all.
Pros: Beautiful when hanging over my counter. nice conversational set. Cons: The glass tops do not fit perfectly...very minor complaint.
How can one express the love for the FAL Technology cook set that I have purchased. I am an 81 year old retired military person with a love for cooking. Last month I went to the MAFB Base Exchange, found your merchandise on the bottom shelf (1 set left). ...
Pros: Removable handles, covers, and they nest. Fantastic!
Removable handles, covers, and they nest. Fantastic!
Cons: I have no cons. The pans are everything they are touted to be.
I bought a set of Ingenio pans several years ago and I liked them so well, I bought a set for every member of my family.
(6 sets) and then I bought myself 2 backup sets, in case anything happened, I'd have extra pans.
Guess what?
Nothing ever happens to thses pans. They are basically indestructible, with very little effort required on the part of the user.
I threw out a complete set of Circulon pans because I never used them again after I bought the Ingenio.
Don't believe one bad review by uz00818 ,Sep 16 '06
Pros: Removable handles, plastic lids for leftovers stored right in the pan and easy clean-up. Cons: The non-stick surface wears out as it does on non-stick pans after years of use.
I've never had a problem with my Ingenio pots except that I need a new set now due to using them constantly for many years since they came out and they've just plain worn out. I have NEVER not been able to put the handles on and they have NEVER come off. They are easy to put on and easy to remove by just pressing the button. I have never had splatter come out of the holes on the tops of the lids (that reviewer must have had her sauce turned way up on high for that to even happen). I love that plastic lids come with the pots, too. You can cook a meal, have leftovers, put the plastic lid right on the pot/pan and put in the fridge. Then you can warm up in the same pot/pan. INGENIOUS!
I thought this product was ingenious!! Well, the concept is...the production is NOT!
Like everyone else, the handles pop off and the non-stick coating peels off. I have had this set for about 2 years now and have never even used the large stock pot, yet the coating is peeling off it it!! On every other item that has been used, food sticks like glue!!!
I do NOT recommend this product. It is poorly constructed and can actually be dangerous if the handle comes off unexpectedly!!
Pros: -Great for small kitchens
-Able to use in oven Cons: None.
I have had this set for over 6 years and I love them. I originally bought them on the T-Fal site, but I don't think they carry them on that anymore. It takes a while to master opening the handles, but other than that I have never had a problem. The non-stick coating has held up well and the outside of the pots still looks great. I love being able to pop off the handles and use them in the oven, and I also like the plastic lids for storing in the fridge. I only wish I could find a bigger saucepan/skillet. For anyone with a small kitchen these are a great find.
I have this cookware for 15 years by misivi51 ,Feb 28 '06
Pros: I need the covers and the hangles Cons: who help me?
This cookware are a very nice experience in the kitchen there are very goo; to cook non stick. But i lost the cover and the hangles cookware when i moved..to another home. what can i do.??? someone know that?

What? Where can I buy replacement parts? by experiencedone ,Jul 30 '06
Pros: Stores easily; handles are a snap to use. My handles stay cool with use. Cons: Edge of lids dents easily, but can be formed back into shape.
After 6 year of using the one quart pot on a daily basis, I will soon need a replacement but can't find it on sale anywhere! The bottom non stick has mostly worn off. All other parts of the set still are in excellent condition. Did have to order new handles after 4 years when they lost their holding power. If anyone have information when I can order replacement pot or parts, please let me know!
Pros: Ease of storage, even heating, easy clean-up, plastic storage lids handy. Cons: Largest skillet could be 12" instead of 11"
I have had my Ingenio cookware for over 5 years and I think they are great. I live aboard a boat year round and while we have a good amount of storage space any space saving device is a god send. I have never had trouble with the handles not attaching or detaching when I wanted them to. I have used them so much the coating is beginning to wear off on a few pieces and will definitely try to replace them.
Pros: Easy storage, flexible use (has storage lids for the fridge), versatile... Cons: The lid does not provide cover without venting, as there are air holes in them...
I have owned this set for just under 10 years...it is the ONLY way to go if you are a full-time RV-er, or if your living accommodations do not allow for a lot of storage. The set is so useful to me that after all of these years I am trying to locate another one. Through lots and lots of trips, temporary stays here and there, and use by a young adult one of the pans is missing, and one is bent out of shape. It is still usable, though. I am pleased to know that I may possibly locate another set. It is not a top of the line set, but for its ease of use and flexibility I rate it 5 stars...it fills its niche in the cooking world!
Love the removable handles by johntherd ,Jan 10 '08
Pros: removable handles, universal lids Cons: don't make them anymore :(
We've had a set of these for six years and have worn them out. We're now looking for another set but apparently they don't make them. Removable handles make for easy storage in our small apartment's kitchen. Never had a handle slip or let go and I've moved plenty of full boiling pots. Apparently they don't make then anymore though, can't find them anywhere.
I love my Ingenio pots and pans!!! by cjdrakkin7 ,Aug 31 '09
Pros: Ingenio set stacks; lids fit entire set; plastic lids makes set multi-purpose; removable handles. Cons: There are "CONS"? I don't think so. I feel sorry for others who say so.
I received my Ingenio set, as a gift, back in 2001. I have had no problems with mine, whatsoever. The handles are still strong, after all these years, and have never opened up, when I didn't want them to. My Ingenio set has been through a lot, as I have shared my home, (and Ingenio set), with several different friends and family who have stayed with me. Some of the non-stick surface has been gouged, sliced through, etc. by others who didn't seem to care, since the pots and pans were not theirs. Still, those wonderful cooking utensils are doing their work, admirably. I will not give them up, throw them out, nor anything else, because I see myself using them until I can't cook, anymore. I know I can't "take" my T-Fal Ingenio set with me,when I die, but I sure can will them to someone who will love them, as much as I do. I just wish there was some way I could re-surface them...then, they'd be as good as new, again! Thank you, T-Fal, for my wonderful Ingenio set!
Pros: I have cooked brownies to roasts in them and have NEVER had any problems. Cons: The ONLY downside is the storage lids. A bit stiff but they will go on.
I was given this set as a Christmas present over 10 years ago and I have been using them ever since. I don't know what these other people have been using the set for. I have given them (sets) as shower gifts and everyone has been amazed as to the versatility of them. Never a complaint. I am getting ready to purchase another set for a friends bridal shower.
