My bill is around $60 a month and I have anyone I talk a long time to on my faves list. You can put 5 people on your faves list changing them if neccasary and talk to these people whenever you want, for as long as you want, at no charge! I also get 600 ...

Pros: Coverage decent in downtown areas. Katherine Zeta Jones :) Cons: Bad roaming Terrible Customer Service Lousy Technical Support

Beware of text messaging service by jbcaus ,May 16 '06
Pros: Good reception in specific coverage areas Cons: Charged for all incoming text messaging w/no disable
This review is to address only one alarming fact about T-Mobile text messaging service and charges. I have family members that recently signed up for a family plan on T-Mobile and realized only too late that all text messages incur a fee. This fee is charge for ALL incoming text messages regardless of actual viewing and apparently there's no way to disable or turn-off text messaging. This means that with T-Mobile service you will be on the hook for anyone to send you a text message that will result in standard text charges each time and you have no control to stop or limit this activity.
It appears that with all other major carriers the text messaging feature can be disable and/or turned off, plus the user is only charged is they actually read the incoming text message. Calls to T-Mobile support has confirmed officially no way to turn off text messaging and therefore the charges. The attitude offered was that "it's just 10-cents a message" so no big deal.
Another lesson to always read the fine print I guess. But still seems deceptive and hopefully this will alert others considering T-Mobile.
