Pros: I didn't die & the interior looked neat Cons: everything else...
Being from Southern California, I should have known better than to expect decent Mexican food in Oregon of all places. But, I am an optimist and my friends, Pat and Greg, assured me that the food was pretty good at this particular restaurant. I was soon...
This little west coast restaurant chain offers unique and tasty Californian/Mexican healthy fast food. Burritos and soft tacos are their mainstay, and obviously a recipe for success, with locations dotting the coast.
Pros: Nice decorating Cons: Stale chips, not clean, only two men working
Recently, I was in Taco del mar with my dad after shopping all afternoon in Seattle. We went in, and were the only people. (I was wondering why...it was lunch time.) My dad and I stood waiting for service for about 3 minutes, (which was a while because...
Pros: A great meal at a good price Cons: Not authentic Mexican food
Taco Del Mar- one of my favorite places to eat, however, we won't pull punches in the review here. Let's get the bad out of the way- we did have stale chips once, which looks like someone else here experienced also. Actually, to be more specific, it ...
Pros: Seemed clean (just opened days ago), nice colors. Cons: Everything else.
As a Southern California native and now resident of the Pacific Northwest, I was very excited to see a new Mexican food restaurant opening near my home. The ambience from the outside looked very nice, and I was excited to try out Taco del Mar for the ...
Pros: Fresh ingredients, fun atmosphere Cons: I wish they had deals every day of the week
Since my place of work is so close to Taco del Mar, I decided to try it out and see what the place had to offer. Coming from Washington state and being a constant traveller to Mexico, and parts of California, I know the selection of authentic ...
Pros: Nice California Beach Theme, Reminds me of home. The Enchiladas pretty good. Cons: NOT real mexican food. Not Even Close.
I recently moved to WA state, from California. I went searching for authentic Mexican food. Being from So Cali I was spoiled with the wonderful tastes of authentic mexican food. I came here and found Taco Del Mar, it sounded "real" I went inside, was...
Pros: Good cheap food. Cons: Service can be spotty.
My experiences with Taco del Mar have been great -- their fish tacos are delicious and inexpensive, and their burritos are quite filling. The three locations I've visited (two in downtown Portland and a new one out in Beaverton Town Square) have all...
Pros: Slightly better than Taco Bell Cons: Can't taste anything you're eating.
I stopped by a recently opened Taco del Mar in Dallas to pick up some lunch, mainly because they offer fish tacos. I hadn't heard of the place before, so I decided to give it a shot. One thing was immediately apparent. This is NOT Mexican food. It's not ...
Pros: decent service, big and satisfying burrito overall, handy location Cons: beef somewhat greasy, seating area a little bare-bones, tortilla delicate
I'm not really sure why other people were so disappointed with this place--it wasn't the most amazing burrito place in the world, but it seemed fine to me. Maybe everyone else is used to incredible, authentic Southern-California burritos, but as far as ...
Pros: A lot of food for the money Cons: None it's just a cheap place to eat
I went to Taco Del Mar today for the first time and ordered a supreme chicken burrito I had a buy 1 get 1 free coupon so I paid about 5.00 for two burrito's that were huge, I was only able to eat one and I found it decent for the price it was hard to...
Pros: Great grub, good buy for your money Cons: Lines can get long during lunch, and dinner periods
Taco Del Mar has been a staple in my diet for quite some time. To the other reviewers from Cal. this place does not claim to be "authentic" mexican, and they don't want to be. They strive on serving food's that have a mexican flair - baja style.
their "mondo" burrito is very large and tasty, truly for those that have a large appetite. I favor their fish taco's, can't get enough of em.
Pros: usually lots of parking, decent prices, good selections! Cons: Food can be cold , rice has a taste like it is from a box.
This is a pretty good place for fast and cheap food. The rice has a taste similar to Rice-A-Roni, infact, who knows it just may be. Sometimes, parts of the burrito are cold and the burrito is not always the warmest.
Basically an overpriced Taco Bell by lucyromero ,Jan 29 '05
Pros: Fast service, convenient locations Cons: food is bland, beef is ground hamburger, and definitely not authentic!
The portions are small, and the food is not very good. Throwing cheese on something doesn't make it Mexican. Taco Del Mar uses ground beef in their beef burritos - just like Taco Bell, only at 4-5 times the price.
I don't understand why this chain is popular in the Northwest. In California, this chain wouldn't last long. If you're in the Seattle area on the Eastside, try Oobas instead.
