Pros: Music, Style Cons: Some questionable lyrics and songs
Whats the first image that comes to mind when you think of Blink 182? Perhaps it's three goofy guys running around nude through the streets of Los Angeles (Whats My Age Again? from the 1999 multi-platinum Enema of the ...
Pros: some good, catchy tunes; some good song-writing Cons: too poppy, some really immature, unfunny stuff
Ever since their last album, Blink 182 has been a popular target for being labeled "sellout." It is obvious that they have gone from punk to pop, now appealing mainly to a younger, TRL audience. They have a new album, "Take Off Your Pants and Jacket,"...
Pros: There are tons of great songs, lyrics are more mature Cons: They're not punk anymore.. but who says that's a bad thing?
PARENTAL ADVISORY: EXPLICIT REVIEW
It's summer. All of your friends are out of town and you have nothing to do. You are desperately trying to come up with something, but nothing. And then it hits you; 'Hey! Blink 182 just released their...
Pros: Drums are almost always excellent; more mature lyrics than previous albums; Tom's vocals Cons: Mark's vocals; several pointless tracks; one obvious filler track
California-born band Blink-182 started off with two LPs before they began to get popular. With the release of their third in 1997, Dude Ranch, they began to be noticed. Enema Of The State was album number five, and it attracted a ...
Pros: catchy tunes, harder sound than Enema Cons: 3 versions of the CD, guys in their late 20's writing songs for 14 year-olds
I must say I was terribly disappointed with Enema of the State. All the chatter about Blink 182 selling out definitely was proven with that album. I do have to say though, I am much more pleased with Take Off You're Pants and Jacket.
Pros: harder edge, better songwriting, should keep the 14 year old girls happy Cons: should keep the 14 year old girls happy, still some unfocused moments
In 1999, Blink 182 followed up the modest success of their Dude Ranch album with the monster selling Enema of the State, an album that spawned 3 huge singles and videos that often showed just exactly what you were dealing with: 3...
Enema of The State and Dude Ranch is by far the best Blink albums ever. When heard word of a new Blink CD a couple of years ago, I was excited, but now that Ive listened to this supposed punk record by them, I am very...
Pros: Many good songs, Travis is excellent on drums Cons: Too short of a CD, some songs are average and/or fillers
Blink 182 have been stuck in several genres and/or categories, namely pop punk, punk rock, and simply bubble gum punk. My question is, simply: What's it even matter? As long as their albums remain good, should anyone really care what they should be ...
Pros: great songs, bonus songs, good old Blink-182 music. Cons: You only get 2 bonus songs per CD.
Take Off Your Pants And Jacket is one of Blink 182's best CDs out. It has 13 great songs and 2 different bonus songs on each CD. The humor in the songs are exceptional and makes you want to listen to the songs again. Once again, Blink-182 has put in many...
Pros: Funny, good, fun...good stuff Cons: a couple of bad songs, formulaic, a lot of the songs sound the same
Blink-182. A very...interesting band. Punk/poppers from southern California, they are the epitome of funny, gross, expletive filled music, but still have a number of mature moments. On this album, that number increases drastically from the last, and the ...
Pros: It makes you laugh and rember the fun times with urr friends. Cons: 3 below average tracks would have been good if vocals have been changed.
Five Things One Can Determine After Listening to Blink-182's Previous Albums 1. Blink-182 are the current spokesmen for immature behavior. If you've ever heard certain songs from preceding records, such as Boring from Dude Ranch, which contained the ...
Pros: Loud, Slight musical maturity, interesting subject matter Cons: Recycled chord progressions, "First Date", "The Rock Show"; extremely hit or miss
In 1999, blink-182 went from Southern California punks to a household name. Their fourth album, Enema of the State, had spawned three hit singles, and had shown a change in direction for the band. They relied less on riffs and solos, and moved more ...
Pros: Pretty Much Everything Cons: Hmmmm....See Review.
Well, well, well. So after reading/hearing a million times about how Blink sold out, and how that Dude Ranch was thier final "Punk" record, we come to Take Your Pants Off And Jacket. As a matter of fact, some jagoff called a local radio...
Pros: Mostly fast-paced, catchy, wonderful songs Cons: Stupid lyrics and nearly rips off their other albums
To me, Take Off Your Pants and Jacket is more than a CD. It's THE CD. TOYPAJ is filled with fast-paced, catchy tunes and some very slow, melodramatic tunes. Obviously, blink-182 was trying to seem a little more serious at times, but still have their immat ...
