This  second re-review is for the Tanger outlet in Lancaster,Pennsylvania.Pennsylvania does not charge sales tax on clothing and shoes.

First stop was the Eddie Bauer Outlet. They had a nectar (pale yellow) mens polo shirt with pocket,originally $29.50 marked down 70%;final price was $8.88.

Next stop-Timberland outlet. I found a pair of Timberland boat shoes in my size and color normally $80; on sale for $29.99.

Final stop was the Reebok outlet. They were having a 25% off  selected  shoes sale,then they added my 20% AARP discount to the total. Two pairs of factory-fresh Reeboks were $38.98.


I didnt find anything of note in either the Izod,Nike or Polo outlets but thats part of the fun-and the hunt-of outlet shopping.

I recently received a Tanger Outlets gift card from my husband for my birthday. I was very pleased and pleasantly surprised! I planned my shopping trip to coincide with a recent tax-free shopping weekend in the state and went to the outlets ready to "shop 'til I dropped"! I was met with great dissatisfaction. I attempted to use the gift card at one particular store and was told they "weren't set up to accept" the gift card. At another store I attempted to use it but when I told the cashier how much I wanted her to key in (you have to know the exact amount at all times of what is left on the card to use it) she said the credit card machine said the amount was not available on the card. Essentially, I spent all of my birthday gift card money on my kids because the only store I went in that I could get to accept it and not have problems were Disney and Carter's. This was a bad experience for me and I will tell others to think twice before purchasing this item.
