Pros: Can be used anywhere Visa is accepted, cash advances available Cons: Exorbitant interest rates, terrible customer service
Three years ago, I was focused on repairing my credit and applied for the Target RedCard. While limits were low and interest rates were high, I didn't expect much considering my low credit score. It seemed a natural progression to stick with the same ...
Target's Annual Report proudly states that the Co-Branded VISA generates revenue through fees & interest. (What this means to you: read the fine print) It is important to remember, the audience for this VISA card is a Target Store shopper. This means ...
Pros: You get a 10% discount at Target. Cons: It could ruin your credit record.
I love Target. It's a great store. Much cleaner than Walmart, and the checkout lines are much shorter. So, naturally earning target points for my purchases at Target and other stores seemed like a great idea. With the Target Visa, when you purchase ...
Pros: Great Customer Service, Took a Chance on Me, Limit Increase in 5 months! Cons: None off the top of my head!
Two months after I turned 18 I decided to openly look for a credit card to build history. Well, While shopping at Target I was asked to apply for a card and save an extra ten percent. I did so, however I was "Not Approved". Two weeks later the ...
I was ready to drop $1K at Target the other day on a Sony TV and an ipod. Seduced by the 10 percent discount, I did something never do: applied for a store card. I have only one major credit card right now (which I pay off every month) and no other ...
Pros: -Pharmacy Rewards program (10 prescriptions = 10% off)
-Visa card, not only a store card Cons: -Using it everywhere won't net a big savings unless you spend a lot at Target
Rewards Program The rewards program built into the Target Visa is actually two separate programs, both reward you in coupons good for 10% off a day of shopping at Target, but one is based on the amount you spend on the card whereas the other is ...
Pros: none! Cons: not possible to speak with anyone on the phone. heavy handed with the fees.
I am a new Target Visa user and a few weeks ago they charged me a $29 late fee because I paid my bill ON the due date!! Now I find out that their policy states that you have to pay your bill 24 hours before the due date! How deceptive! Why don't ...
Pros: the target 10% off reward Cons: CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM HELL!
I have been a target card holder since 2004, my credit limit is $7000 , never a late payment, never gone over the limit, and I have amazing credit score and a spotless credit history. Well my husband made a payment to our card (btw, our payment ...
Pros: Sorry but at this point I can't think of any. Cons:
They need to have better rates, and rewards for those who pay on time.
Lets face it no matter how hard you work you won't pay it off with these finance charges unless you have a good job, and don't loose the one you have which I lost mine, and since times are tough I can't seem to find a new one. I had a real good interest ...
Pros: 10% discount off your first purchase, opportunity for future discounts based on use. Cons: Not customer-friendly. Feels like predatory lending practices.
Sure, they entice you with that initial 10% discount, but they will find a way to get it back from you in short order. Scenario: made a $500 purchase and was encouraged to apply for the card to get 10% off first purchase. First bill ...
inept customer service, high fees, problems receiving my statements. by applegatetanya ,Dec 11 '07
Pros: None that I can think of, except the original discount for opening the account. Cons: High fees for everything that they can get away with charging and terrible customer service.
I have great credit and have dealt with many a bank or visa company. While I have received mixed customer service throughout my credit history, I have never had such a terrible time as I have had with Target service reps. They seem poorly trained, at best. I wouldn't recommend this credit card to anyone.
Target should be ashamed by toolman12_1 ,Oct 02 '07
Pros: Discount rewards for each dollar spent. Cons: Deceptive practices with regard to payment due dates.
Target Card makes payments due on non-business days like Sunday. They also require that online payments be posted no later than 3pm on the due date. They will draw on your checking bank account right away and still charge you a $29 late fee. What a ripoff. Can't believe that Target lowers itself to such levels.
Not so hot - The Target is you by teabags1217 ,Sep 26 '03
Pros: The APR is low and the bill is clearly laid out. Cons: NO grace period and one 10% certificate per billing cycle.
Card may look trendy but read the fine print.
It has a 9.9% APR.
It provides 10% gift certificates. One per billing period.
The card has NO grace period. Pay it on time. I got caught and paid a fee with no consideration by customer service.
The reviews that state the Target credit card is "easy" to obtain were mistaken. I just applied for the credit card & I can assume that I was turned down because it came back & said that my application needs further processing. I was told I would hear something in 2 weeks. This is a real bummer that I couldn't get this card, yet I have a Chase Visa with rewards.
