Pros: Small, accurate, 8x magnification
Cons: 24x magnification seems a little sloppy
I picked a pair of these up from Meijer for about $45 after tax. I wanted a pair of good binoculars with a good zoom for shooting, without going to a full on spotting scope. So far, these have been pretty good binoculars. They're compact and easy to carry, the focus roller is smooth at times, but also feels like there are burrs that it is trying to roll past. At 8x, these have a very, very clear picture. At 24x, it seems a bit blurred. It's hard to get the adjustable right eye focus to match the left at 24x. Also, making these compatible with a tri-pod would be helpful to keep these on target while shooting. I would also recommend tightening up the right eye focus. it's just loose enough to move around from being put into the carrying case.
If you are looking for a crisp, compact, 8x binocular with the option of getting a closer 24x view, these are a quality product. If you are looking for more features, plan on spending another $60 to $100 (or just get a spotting scope).
