Pros: 2-in-1 weight and BIA, low cost, simple to use after a few uses. Cons: Not much to do for health enthusiasts, average reading, menus somewhat laborious at times
I was very pleasantly surprised when I found out that I had received this as a gift. While I am in no means a fitness expert, I do enjoy exercising and staying somewhat fit. If I'm like many of you, I want a way to monitor my health without going to ...

It is a piece of junk!
by ashams ,Oct 05 '06
Pros: None Cons: Inaccurate data!
I purchased this scale a couple months ago. Make a long story short: it provides bogus information. You could step on it 5 times in a row, and get three different readings. I tested it with different weights just to make sure I am not imagining things and got the same results. For example, it read a 7 lbs weight as 6.5 lbs, and a 15 lbs weight as 16 lbs, but when both were placed on the scale, it reported it as 22. I just dont trust this scale.
On the fat and water percentage analyzer, I dont have a way to test its accuracy, but I can tell you this: I was about 200 lbs, and have lost 16 lbs in the last two months, and it is still reporting the same body fat and water percentage. (I know I am not losing muscle).
This scale is a piece of junk. Why would you want to waist your money on something that may give you bogus data?

Taylor BF Analyzer Scale - Worst I've ever used
by sairez ,Oct 31 '05
Pros: Cheap. Cons: Doesn't work consistently
This scale is the worst I've ever used.
I bought this scale at Walmart, it was cheap yes, but it seemed to have all the features I wanted. It provides weight and body fat percentage. The only problem is, it is completely inaccurate, even in just giving you a plain weight reading.
The scale seems lazy, if that's possible for a scale. If you step on the scale it gives you a reading... the next time you step on the scale it will give you the exact same reading down to the decimal point, even if there's a different person standing on the scale!
The scale will only remember the weight, sex and age of one person at a time making it annoying if you share with anyone.
Also, the beep it makes to let you know it's ready to make measurements is highly obnoxious. I'm definitely in the market for a new scale after using this one.

Worked... for a while
by jbs24 ,Jun 23 '06
Pros: Fine when working Cons: A scale should have a lifetime greater than 6 months.
My scale looked slightly different than the picture, but basically the same features. After about 6 months, it no longer works and can't even measure weight.
When working, the fat calculation (based on height, waist, neck size and gender) was very consistent, as was the weight measurement (to the nearest 1/2 lb.). I wouldn't believe the percentage value exactly, but I would say you could tell from week to week if your fat level was going up or down.
A scale should last more than 6 months.

Not worth the money
by elliewright55 ,Apr 27 '06
Pros: none Cons: everything about it.
I bought this scale over a year ago. I really disliked it right from the start. I had to always step on it three times in a row to get an accurate weight. I'd take the # that came up the most often. Switching the information around was terrible and the body fat reader only worked for about a month before it crapped out and stopped working. BAD scale. I wouldn't have anyone buy this.

Taylor Scale Products
by tigertom2117 ,Oct 16 '09
Pros: None Cons: Not a good accurate scale that lasts.
I did not buy this exact model, but did buy a Taylor scale a while back from a local warehouse store. This product is similiar to many of these reviews - it's very inaccurate. My beef with this company is that I've looked in several company searches, and they apparently don't want to be contacted. All I see is distributors selling Taylor.

Weight is accurate
by ericms007 ,Apr 03 '08
Pros: accurate weight measurement to 0.2 lbs Cons: body fat measurement cannot be trusted
I think that either the other reviewers are speaking of another product or they are speaking mainly of the "body fat analyzer". The scale is very accurate. If I step on it 3 times in a row, I will nearly always get the same result each time. In the event that I do not, it will be within 0.2 lbs different, but this is no big deal.
On the other hand, I do not trust the body fat analyzer (on any "consumer" scale for that matter.)
For measuring weight, I recommend this digital scale.
