Pros: accurate, lithium battery, color availability Cons: nothing
Im not a fan of watching my weight, but my mother has recently lost some weight and wants to loose some more. When I noticed a Taylor Precision Tech Lithium Scale on clearance at Target, I decided to pick it up for her so she ...
Pros: Compact, light weight, stable, and very accurate... Cons: Nothing major, but could have had some sound notification...
Last year I bought this (Taylor Precision Tech Scale 7000 Series) new scale from Target for about $25; I actually bought the 7004 model. The only difference between the 7000 and the 7004 is the finish and the color. The main reason ...
Pros: Cheap! Stylish! Accurate from 0.5 to 300lbs! Cons: Dimensions, cannot measure body fat
So I wanted to buy a scale. A scale is one of those items that I always wanted to have, but I never really needed one enough to reason that I should actually BUY the thing- until recently. As I was perusing the aisles of my local Super Target in ...
Pros: Reasonably accurate & consistent. Lifetime battery. Low cost. Legible, LCD display. Nice styling. Cons: Nothing major. Like many scales, displayed weight can vary slightly whenever the scale is relocated.
UPDATE INSERTED HERE IN BOLDFACE ON 11-28-2007: Today my model 7000 scale's LCD display said "Lo" (as in "Low Battery"). Since this product was supposed to have a "lifetime" battery, its failure after only about four years compelled me to phone the ...
Pros: It looks nice. Big, digital reading Cons: Not accurate or consistent.
I am getting ready for a body building show. An accurate measure of weight, first thing in the morning is pretty important to me. Ok, maybe not so much accurate,I would settle for least consistent. I'm not sure that this scale is either. The reading on this scale varies by as much as 4 pound from one minute to the next. If I step on it, get my reading, go to the other room and come back, it can be almost 4 pounds different. If for some reason, it is necessary to use it on the same type of surface in a different room, the results undoubtedly will be different by at least 4 pounds.
This scale will give you useful, if not 100% accurate, results by howardbruin ,Nov 06 '04
Pros: Cheap. Accurate against itself (and more or less accurate all the time) Cons: Readings sometimes not on the money. Kinda small to stand on.
I have been trying to lose weight and I was pretty darn sure that I was losing at about the rate of one pound per week. Buying this scale has reaffirmed my suspicion:-) While it is true that no scale, including this one, will be 100% accurate, I have found it to be very good at showing trends. Over 4 weeks I have gone from getting readings averaging 210.5 to 206. I think that clearly demonstrates that the scale at least is accurate against itself, when plotted over time. One way to assure "accurate results" is to always use it in the same location, and to plant your feet more or less in the same place, and not to shift/lean when getting a reading, as any variable like that could affect the scale. However, for $20, I'm more than happy with what this baby can do.
Taylor Precision Tech Scales keep using up new batteries. The last one lasted one day. by tlhix60 ,Jun 08 '05
Pros: I loved being about to see the pounds in accurate measurements by the 1/2 pound. Cons: I did not like finding out my scales did not work time after time.
I bought these scales at Walmart and have had to replace the Cr2032 battery 4 times in 6 months!!! I only step on it once a day! I finally went back to Walmart to get the old fashioned non-electronic type and noticed that the box states the battery is supposed to be good for a lifetime! Where do I get my money back?
Pleased with My First Digital Scale by outdoorsbound ,Sep 10 '06
Pros: Good value, simple, reliable Cons: No body fat percentage
I didn't think much of this scale when I bought it Wal-Mart around 2003 other than it was an inexpensive digital scale. Little did I know that 3 years later it would still be operating reliably and to my satisfaction. I'll get slight inconsistencies but nothing major. As I was looking at my scale I see the top pad is starting to wear thin. It still has the original battery. The only reason I'm considering replacing it is so I can have body fat percentage. I lost 72 pounds with this scale so it's like a good friend to me.
