Most women have read Vogue, right? With the provocative fashion spreads and the insane amount of money charged for some of the clothing featured, it's not at all for a younger audience; even if that audience is teenagers.
You can imagine my surprise as I made my monthly visit to the corner store and saw Teen Vogue sitting on the stands. I immediately picked it up and thought to myself, "this could be interesting.." Once in the safety of my own home, I began leafing through the magazine.
It's very youth-oriented, and the clothing featured is more at a teenager's budget; making it realistic. The fashion is still there, but it's a different kind of fashion. I'd say that teen vogue has become one of my favorites, and I look forward to it coming in the mail every month.

Teen Vogue has what it takes, but needs some adjustments. It has relevant stories, fashion, and entertainment. They cover less well known bands and movies, as well as having book reviews. The main downfall of the magazine is its catalog - like feel. This is caused by an over abundance of advertising, I suppose to keep the price down. However it seems to have failed at that. The price started out at a modest $1.50, making it the most affordable magazine on the rack, however the price has steadily increased until it is up to standard pricing, but with all the ads still in its pages.
