Causes WORSE pressure points than metal spring mattress

by lycanangel84New Member , Nov 23 '09
Pros: Somewhat comfortable in the summer.
Cons: VERY expensive, not comfortable, hard as a rock
I've been really disappointed with my king-size Tempurpedic mattress.  I've had it for about 4 years now.  It was soooo expensive!  I got the frame that you can pay extra for to come with it, and it broke in half the first night.  It ...

by hclubNew Member , Nov 10 '09
Pros: Moulds to your body; firm; restful sleep each and every night; great value for money.
Cons: Had a slight odour when it arrived but diminished during the first two weeks.
My husband and I needed a new mattress.  We fell in love with the Tempurpedic Solutions II mattress.  We bought it on the spot.  It was scheduled to arrive at our house in a week. The next day, I went online and read reviews on it ...

Pros: supportive, comfortable, great sleep
Cons: None yet.
At first I was a little hesitant on purchasing my temp. but everyone I spoke to who had purchased one alwasy had something great to say. After going through 2 very expensive Sterns and Foster mattresses that both sank in the middle after a year, I ...

Cons:  Hard to change position
 sore shoulder, numb hand

Not good for lightweights!

by ballstar , Oct 05 '09
Pros: Can't feel other person moving as much as on regular mattresses
Cons: Not good for "lightweight" people
My boyfriend bought a Tempur-pedic Celebrity (the one with the extra "pillowtop" portion above the memory foam) bed three years ago because he was having back stiffness and pain from his original mattress. He loved it, so I thought I would too when I ...

Tempur-pedic EuroBed

by wellrested , Sep 11 '09
Pros: Relieved back pain first night; does not shake when you get in or out.
Cons: None.  A different convention that takes getting used to but you won't lose sleep.
I've had this bed for 3 days now, I've had severe lower back problems since 2002, which included 5 years of spinal injections and surgery.  I couldn't sleep on my bed anymore, waking up 2-3 times a night not being able to get comfortable with my ...

Love or hate it...I hate it.

by somesleep4me , Aug 23 '09
Pros: None for me
Cons: Too firm and too wierd to get use to.
I have heard that with tempur-pedic you either love it or hate it.  I hate it.  I really tried to love it, but it is just too firm for this waterbed raised gal.  I gave up the water bed long agon, but still enjoy a softer mattress. My new ...

Mixed Opinions: I hate it. My husband loves it.

by smite , Aug 06 '09
Pros: Good for large/tall people: very firm, lots of support, helps back pain.
Cons: Bad for small/short people: too hard, too much pressure, may cause back pain.
For larger people (like tall males of average to athletic build), it seems to have a good level of pressure, provide good support, and may help back problems. For smaller people (like shorter females with average to slim build), it ...

Inconsistent quality

by crzycnsumr , Jul 31 '09
Pros: When they're good, they're very, very good....
Cons: but when they're bad, they're horrid.
Because of rave reviews from three people I know who were early-adopters of Tempurpedic's "regular" mattresses, I bought a full-sized Tempurpedic Rhapsody for an extra room, and it was amazing.  It was very, very firm, but I would sink in just the ...

Lost support in 14 months

by troos , Jul 29 '09
Pros: Excellent sleep during the limited lifespan of the bed.
Cons: The limited lifespan of the bed. (14 months)
I purchased a Tempur-Pedic king sized bed in 2004.  It was hard to get used to for the first 90 days, and both my wife and I disliked its excessive firmness.  After the 90 days, the bed slept very well.  I awoke every day refreshed and ...

TempurPedic---Don't Waste Your Hard Earned Money

by backlashwi , Jul 18 '09
Pros: None
Cons: Takes a set, difficult (heavy) to rotate, uncomfortable, expensive.
Don't let anyone tell you that a TempurPedic mattress won't take a "set."  I wasted over $3K on a king size TempurPedic mattress set and it has developed depressions where my wife and I lay. It's literally impossible to roll toward the middle ...

Tempurpedic mattress caused my eczema

by tn312c , Jul 15 '09
Pros: Very comfortable that I even use it to sit and watch TV.
Cons: Not use chemicals. Polyutherane is a carba mix, but there others.
I bought a Tempurpedic mattress in December 2004 as a Christmas present to myself for my bad back. I've used the mattress for about 4.5 years until in February 2009 I was diagnosed with Eczema. By the way, I am in my mid 60's and do not have any ...

The best nights sleep you will ever have.

by kristamarieta , Jul 09 '09
Pros: Provides the best nights sleep with optimal support without sagging.  No sleeping on irritating springs.
Cons: It is slightly expensive, but well worth the cost.
If you've never lain on a memory foam mattress, I can only say it feels like no other mattress you've slept on before.  I can still remember how firm it felt when we initially laid down on it, only to feel it give way and mould itself around ...

Finally able to wake up refreshed!

by fw288437 , Jul 01 '09
Pros: Great support, motionless, comfortable
Cons: pricy, heavy, unique smell initially
My wife have been waking up with a sore back on our 2 year old pillow top spring mattress.  Recently we decided to shell out the money and invest in a Tempur-pedic bed as we heard and seen so many commercials on it.Do have to admit that this ...
