Tempur-Pedic Swedish Mattress

Pros: Good mattress, very restrictive warranty, buyer beware!
Cons: Weak adjustable frame, very poorly made, horrible warranty, read fine print!!!!!

I bought this bed in October 2005. At first glance this is a great bed, however read the fine print on the warranty very carefully!!!! Although you see on the tv ads people walking on the bed, and many resellers will even tell you that you have to walk on the bed to help "break it in". If you do this on their adjustable bed, it will void the warranty. In fact my wife, all 140lbs of her, simply sat at the edge of the bed and this broke the bed. Although the company has a 30 year warranty, practically nothing is covered in this warranty, including sitting on any part of the bed without "evenly distributing your weight". I don't know many people who can dynamically enter a bed laying flat down, but this is the only way the warranty would be honored. Pretty weak in my opinion, just another company who has no post sale responsibilty for their product. I will never recommend this product to anyone!

Cons: Very expensive not for everyone

I recently purchased the tempur pedic mattress and am pretty satisfied with it. With my old spring mattress I would wake up sore every morning. My back would be the most sore. But now with the tempur pedic my back dosnt hurt quit as much. The only negative is that if you buy it directly from tempur pedic it is very expensive. The model I bought was the deluxe queen. Hope this helps someone out there.

my mattress has failed and tempur pedic will not cover it under warranty! When the memory cells stop responding (and they will) is NOT covered under warranty. Apparently the warranty only covers dips, not failure to respond. So I spend $1700 on a mattress that is a heavy hunk of foam rubber. I constantly wake up with hip pain. It is extremely hot. And I cant return it. On average the tempur pedic is said to fail AFTER 2 YEARS OF USE! Mine failed after 4 months. My return period was 3 months.
I recommend that no one purchase this mattress. I dont want other people to be screwed out of thier money.

I am willing to sell it to anyone who thinks they want this crappy mattress for $800.

Pros: Very comfortable and improved lower back discomfort
Cons: Sleeping much much to warm.

My husband and I fell in love with the comfort of the mattress. He had lower back pain which improved considerably after just a few nights. What I did not anticipate is the heat produced by the Mattress. I am always uncomfortably warm. I have tried to put a blanket under the sheet on my side, but that has not helped. I've talked to several other women who are going through menopause, and they all are having the same problem. As comfortable as the bed is, I wouldn't purchase it again.

Pros: Durability, firmness, doesn't squeak
Cons: Like sleeping on your kitchen table. Not a good night's rest.

Too hard for someone who doesn't sleep on their back all the time. I have had it for two weeks and am looking for new bed before having them haul it out and give me my money back.

Pros: Supportive. No more "ouch" points like with the old spring mattress.
Cons: High profile (but we're tall, so we love it). May be too high for some.

We absolutely love our Tempurpedic bed. We admit it actually took some getting used to. In fact, the first few nights I slept on it, I had odd small pains the next day. I figured out after day 3, when they started to fade, that it was just my muscles no longer contracting to handle the pressure points of the old mattress. So, my muscles were actually stretching a bit with the Tempurpedic! But the Tempurpedic was completely supportive and my body adapted. And then...it was absolutely delicious! We love it, love it love it! We've had it for about 2 months now and we rue the day we have to stay in a hotel when on vacation. We wish we could take it with us! </p>

I checked out http://www.kwikken.com/ for info on the Tempurpedic before getting my 8 year daughter with health issues the Classic. She sleeps very well now but I am still unsure at the moment whether I want to get the Grand Bed. From all I have read and heard, it definitely seems worth it and it has done wonders for her.

Pros: The sample at the store was nice.
Cons: Most expensive mattress available and worst sleep experience possible. Can't use electric mattress pad/feather bed.

Our Tempurpedic was delivered on a very cold February day (in the 20s) and was as hard as a stone. Should have known that was the start of 60 days of sleeping on concrete. The dealer said they soften up. Ours was nothing like the sample at the store. After waiting the 30 days required by the return policy, we switched to an air mattress type bed. We still have the air mattress bed, but unfortunately it is not a Sleep Number bed. I wish it was. The dealer (Rick's Beds in Dallas) was a pain to work with but they did take the Temperstone back. I never saw the price difference returned to me (about $800). Every time I turned around there was another 'fee'. I wish I had never heard of Tempurpedic. They never stop sending you trash. I'm considering suing them using the privacy laws. Maybe I can get some of my money back.

I'm going to get my wife to spend a couple nights at a Wyndham so I can talk her into a Wyndham Heavenly Bed.

Pros: The smell goes away
Cons: Tempur-Pedic mattress is too hard if you have a cool room.

My back is killing me. The mattress is hard. I have had it two weeks and had people walk on it the way the store recommended. I sleep less and wake up with a back-ache. The bed is much harder than the one in the showroom. I like a cold room, but, hey, I'm in Southern California, so it isn't that cold. I also bought the platform, which I'll keep, but after reading the reviews on the web, I worry about how difficult the mattress will be to return. I sure believed their hype.

Pros: Great for the first week.
Cons: Rut develops and Tempur-pedic will not honor the warranty.
DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY

I had heard stories about Tempur-pedic developing a rut, but since I asked about this specific issue prior to purchasing my bed, and was told "it never happens" I bought one anyway.

The mattress developed a rut and I contacted Tempur-pedic immediately. The promptly sent me a copy of the warranty which explicitly excludes my issue by requiring me to measure the rut with a ruler. Since the rut is only noticeable when I am laying on it, I could hardly meet the requirements of the warranty.

I can only assume from the wording of the warranty that Tempur-pedic is aware of this issue and prefer to ignore it.

Pros: All I can say is amazing that they stand by their product
Cons: None whatsoever

I have had my Celebrity Bed with the Cashmere pillowtop cover for five years.  The stitching started to come up on the pillowtop.     I filled out a warranty repair form and sent in pictures.....six weeks later they delivered a BRAND new mattress and my warranty starts all over fresh.

WOW!!!!!

Pros: Conforms to your body, No pain, Best Sleep EVER
Cons: Expensive (but its worth every penny)

We bought the Euro Bed in a king and it is amazing!!! No more waking up to movement from my spouse, no more back pain, nothing but a great nights sleep!  Although it is expensive and heavy..it is amazing.  We find it so comfy. At first it felt hard/stiff but once it starts to  contour to your body it is a slice of heaven. We also bought the Supreme pillows which I LOVE!  You buy the mattress protector which saves your mattress from "accidents". I have a toddler who has had a leaky diaper in my bed numerous times and not once has it leaked through. I simply remove the cover and toss it in the washer and dryer.  We have recently stayed at a hotel and let me tell you how happy we were to get back in our Tempur-Pedic bed!  Two thumbs up on this one! Save yourself the time, money and bad nights of sleep and by these beds, they ROCK!

Cons: It's hot, too soon began to lose support & shape. Back problems.

We bought one to replace a cheaper bed that lasted just 10 years. The investment was sunstantial, however we felt we were stepping up to the best. After just 1.5 years it hollowed where we sleep & is now causing back problems because of this loss of shape & loss of support. Their customer service support people have been VERY evasive & have stonewalled our attempts for warranty. I would NEVER recommend this overpriced & faulty product.

This is the worst purchase I have ever made. From the first week I knew it was a mistake however,  believing the ad that it could be tried for 90 days, we went back to the dealer and was told that it was not returnable. We could trade it in for another mattress that cost more but as we paid $2600.00 for it this was not an option. I called and wrote to the company and was told the 90 day guarantee was only if you purchased it from the TV commercial. Please anyone considering this take note and check with the dealer before you believe the lie about this! I have had to keep this thing and believe me when I say it is very hard to sleep on and causes much back pain. If I could afford an new mattress I would heave this into the trash where it belongs. Terrible customer service also. I have been searching for someplace to write a  review for a long time and hope anyone considering this mattress listens to what I am saying. you will save yourself a lot of money and grief.

Just bought myself a very nice TempurPdeic Deluxe matress Queen 10 days ago.I have been waiting 2-3 years to buy that one as many of my friends recommended them.

- Chemicals used to treat the matress are causing huge ALLERGIES!!!
We have have the matress just for 10 days. My girlfriend has horrible itchy rashes and I got serious issues with my sinuses.
These might go away for I don't know for sure.
- The tempurPedic customer service I called this morning was more than rude. They are unwilling to recognize any issue with the matress and don't even want to give the list of chemicals they use in the bed.

For a $3,000 bed, you would expect these people to be a little more helpful in making you feel there is no danger with their mattress.
