Pros: Carefully researched, fascinating pictures and lots of history Cons: In the end, a very sad book. A litany of loss.
Summary: I have always been fascinated with the history of architecture, and the history of hotels in particular. Thus, when I see any kind of book recounting the lost architectural treasures of any region, I usually snap it up as fast as I can. I found this one ... read more
