Pros: great research on wolf biology, tight plotting
    Cons: none

Summary: There is at the core of each of us a hunger, a yearning for the wild places of this earth. Most of us are like housecats, who visit tame, fenced-in places and pretend that they -- and we -- are wild. Some of us are like range cattle, who spend their ... read more

    Pros: huh
    Cons: what cons?

Summary: I must say first that I was not expecting this book to be better then the Horse Whisperer that I had so fallen in love with and had read three times before the movie came out. I figured it would be of the caliber but just lacking what his first one did. ... read more

Pros: Jack London has some competition!
Cons: Not for the squeamish or faint-hearted

Summary: Then don’t pick up this book! But if you love a well-told tale, full of vibrant colors and dynamite characters, you won’t be able to put this one down! Even the bad guys in this book are complexly drawn characters you may shed a tear over. However, ... read more
