Pros: great gameplay, graphics and sound, hack and slash, unlockables Cons: relatively short
Around two months ago, EA released Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers for the GameBoy Advance and Playstation 2. They said that the GameCube and Xbox versions would be released a little later. Well, time has passed and, finally, EA released The Two Towers...
Pros: Actual actors voice characters, good movie/game integration, fairly close to movie. Cons: Limited to Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas for main gameplay, secret character disappointing.
For the second movie of Peter Jackson's trilogy, the Three Hunters-Aragorn, Gimli and Legolas take center stage as they search for the missing Merry and Pippin, herald the return of an old friend and prepare to defend Helm's Deep against Saruman's 10,000 ...
Pros: Great graphics, sound and fun to play. Cons: Way to short.
I only own a gamecube and up until a few months ago Nintendo has made a great recovery. I was going to sell my system for a Playstation 2 due to the lack of games on the Gamecube. Nintendo has got to understand that all those kids playing Super Mario...
Pros: Be in the movie! Nice graphics. Fun...while it lasts Cons: Much to short, little replay
They hack, and slash, and hack and hack and slash, hack hack hack, slash slash slash....it's another EA movie game!
If you haven't heard the Itchy and Scratchy tune from the Simpsons, that was slightly weird.
Pros: Great graphics! Nice music, right from the movie! Cons: Short games! Horrid projectile weapon aiming, unable to skip through movie parts made by game.
When I first picked up this game my first reaction was "Oh cool! Look at these graphics! Movie clips too?!? Cool!"
However as soon as I sat down to play the game I realized that there was actually a lot less to this game than what I...
Pros: great gameplay and graphics, the controls are easy to pick up on Cons: the game is too short
First of all, this is an incredible game. The graphics are very detailed and easy to understand. Many RPG's that I have played get too confusing during fighting sequences because of sub-par graphics or framerate slowdown. The Two Towers does not. Even...
Pros: Good graphics, great gameplay, mindless violence! Cons: Lighting and visibility is bad on a couple levels. Also too short.
The gameplay is absolutely spectacular on this game! The graphics are so life like and so are the sounds! But the best part is that it follows the story line to the mark.
You can play as three characters, Legolas, Aragorn, and Gimilee. There...
Pros: Great replay value
Excellent graphics
Awesome music Cons: Sometimes the levels go away from the movie, like exploding orcs???
This is a great movie-to-game title. You are allowed to play as either Aragorn (my favorite), Legolas, or Gimli. In the end, you can even play as a secret character. There are many fun and challanging levels and the music is straight from Howard...
Pros: great gameplay, responsive controls, excellent replay value Cons: none
Lord of the Rings:The Two Towers is actually a game that gives the movie justice,if not more. It has 3 playable characters(plus 1 hidden)and has 10 levels(plus 1 hidden) along with a lot of special features including interviews with the main characters...
Pros: Non-stop action, three playable characters, good plot. Cons: No multi-player, its much to short.
If you want a good action game that keeps the enemies coming and the battle moving this could be the game for you! Take control of the legendary king of gondor, Aragorn, the skilled elven marksman, Legolos, or the ax wielding dwarf Gimli in a fun action packed adventure that will keep you on the edge of your seat!! This RPG game is based around going through 3-D Stages and growing levels by defeating massive swarm after massive swarm of enemies. This games plot is relatively the same as the movie. There are some unlock-ables at the end but I wont spoil the fun by telling you what they are. The bottom line is this is a great game for a good price though the sequel really is better.
A bit of a letdown. No depth at all. by scotwithone_t ,Feb 24 '04
Pros: Decent graphics and sound...not much else. Cons: Repetitive action. No depth. Cinematic cut scenes are nothing new.
Maybe I was expecting too much of a video game based on a movie, but "Two Towers" was a complete letdown for me. With the adventurous nature of the movie/book storyline, I was expecting there to be more substance to the game than there was. This game is hardly more than a button-masher, hack-and-slash bore-a-thon. Kill some orcs, run 20 feet, kill more orcs, runs some more, kill more orcs, fall asleep from boredom. The point system was a futile attempt to make the game seem more like an RPG.
The cinematic cut scenes were ok, but I've already seen the movie, so showing the exact same scenes in the game is redundant. I would have liked to see the game extend beyond the movie some, and fill in some of the holes that were left from the book-to-film transition.
Not as good as ROTK but fun by linkinparkfan ,Jul 06 '04
Pros: Fun, Charcter choice, graphics, levels Cons: ROTK is better but buy this game anyways
I found this game fun, but I found Return of the King much Better. For being made before ROTK, it is fun. I like the graphics and the choice of your charaters. I bought this game beacause I like LOTR. This game also has levels from the fellowship of the ring. A must buy for an action gamer.
The evil Wizard Saruman has built is building a tower that he hopes will connect to Sauron's tower in Mordor. The Fellowship must lead the charge to s...More at Amazon Marketplace
