Pros: Delicious hand tossed pizza baked on a (rolling?)stone. Cons: None come to mind.
Theres no law out there that says you cant have beer without pizza. Or pizza without beer. The two are great together, but stand up fine on their own right? We all know that, but I have to tell you that the great folks at The Mellow ...

Pros: Fan-freaking-tastic Pizza, great crust, less common toppings, cool music/decor, casual Cons: Staff can be apathetic to almost sullen at times
Note: I was asked to move this review from a 'location specific Mellow Mushroom listing to the new general chain listing that has been made available. I believe the information is still accurate, but the review is actually from 2002. ...

Pros: Fun atmosphere, Good food and extensive beer list, Great location Cons: Not for you meat and potato lover
There are dozens of restaurants that offer good pizza and sandwiches. I have been a long time patron of The Mellow Mushroom restaurants in the Atlanta area. I was very excited when a franchise finally opened here in Chattanooga, in the old ...

Pros: lots of beer, good pizza Cons: I am from the Northeast Corridor
The recent trip to Asheville was interesting. The purpose of the trip was Warren Haynes X-mas Jam to benefit Habitat for Humanity. Of course, nine hour concerts aside there was still a need for sustenance. I had read about a pizza ...

Pros: good atmosphere, the pizza was ok Cons: price, food was not worth the money
I went to my local Mellow Mushroom the other day with my mom and sister. I have heard it's not that great and that is was expensive, but my mom had a gift card and so I thought I'd go and try it out, hey I wasn't losing any money. Atmosphere: It ...

Great people, Super Pizza and Beer
by discoe ,May 29 '05
Pros: Great pizza, beer and people. Cons: Hoagie rolls
I became aware of MM about 2 years ago. Have visited stores in Montgomery,Al, Tuscaloosa,Al, Boone,NC, Blowing Rock,NC, Wilmington,NC, Charlottesville,Va, Jackson,Ms and love them all. The pizza is great especially the crust and the beer plentiful and diverse. The different regional drafts are super. The people in all these stores are what really make the experience special. The owners are proud of their businesses as are the employees. Service has been slow at times but wait staff has been attentive and kept guests up to date. Owners have usually been willing to talk about businesses and how they got involved with MM.
Tuscaloosa has more atmosphere than any store I've been in. Food has been very consistently good. Wish hoagies used more artisonal quality bread more like calzones, pizza dough and pretzels. Try it you won't be disappointed.

The Best Pizza Chain. PERIOD
by mattocatl ,Apr 09 '05
Pros: Pizza. Cons: Salads need more green lettuce.
It's quite simple. Mellow Mushroom uses spring water, whole wheat flour, natural sauce, cheese, and toppings. This makes for excellent pizza. Dominoes, Pizza Slut, Papa Johns, CiCi's, Hungry Howies, Little Caesers, all use the cheapest quality ingredients possible (thank you Accountants!) including refined white flour, artificial cheese/sauce, and local tap water which has Lord knows what in it. Shame on them! Mellow Mushroom is the best!

terrible pizza
by justblue ,Feb 10 '05
Pros: beer, drink alot so you don't notice the crap you are eating Cons: diarrhea
this has got to some of the worst pizza around. it might have been ok when you were 15 and your mom dropped you off because it was in the neighborhood. now that it is franchised the frozen doe and canned sauce is like diarrhea pizza. if you have had it you know what i mean. if you know anything about food you would not eat this pizza. now days none of the food is made in the restaurant, it is shipped from atlanta frozen or in cans. i'll be surprised if they ever cut there own fresh toppings.
