Pros: Interesting story, rich with imagery and characters with personalities. Cons: Not for those who want lots of action.

Pros: Welty, as usual, delivers quality Americana in a captivating if somewhat dark story. Cons: Short story but requires patience and time to fully grasp and appreciate while you read.

Pros: Welty wrote some of the finest literature, Southern or otherwise, ever to grace a page Cons: Miss Welty has gone to that great Library in the Sky
