"There's a rocket in my pocket, Smithers!"

by JediKermit JediKermit is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Kids & Family, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Feb 28 '01
Pros: "Excellent" likeness, great expression and money grubbing hands.
Cons: Not exactly an "Action Figure"
Mister Montgomery C. Burns is one of my favorite Simpsons characters--the money-grubbing owner of the Nuclear Power Plant. The ultimate elitist businessman, he's so evil that he makes Darth Vader look like my grandma. Who wasn't evil, incidentally....

Release the hounds! Excellent!

by chad8246 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Mar 26 '01
Pros: Perfect likeness and great voice clips
Cons: Not very movable
Mr. Burns is Springfield’s oldest and richest citizen, not to mention it’s most evil (unless you count Sideshow Bob). He owns the Springfield power plant and runs it with an iron fist. He’s been known to fire people for the smallest things, ...

Release the hounds! This figure is excellent!

by yogore Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jul 12 '02
Pros: the look, the sounds, the fact that he exists
Cons: he's long gone from shelves
"Look at them all, through the darkness I'm bringing. They're not sad at all. They're actually singing! They sing without juicers, they sing without blenders. They sing without flunjers, capdabblers and smendlers!"

C. Montgomery Burns,...

Have the Rolling Stones killed.

by shocka Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 1000, Jul 20 '02
Pros: Excellent! Everyone's favorite evil billionaire in plastic with all the trimmings
Cons: Like the rest of the Simpsons, articulation is eh
Mr. Burns: Who is that firebrand, Smithers?
Smithers: That's Homer Simpson, sir.
Burns: Simpson, eh? New man?
Smithers: Actually, sir, he thwarted your campaign for governor, you ran over...

Simpsons, eh? Excellent!

by fuche_bu Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Feb 18 '01
Pros: Highly accurate likeness to the character
Cons: not really play friendly for kids
Now that playmate has undertaken their ambitious collection of Simpsons figures and interactive environments, fans can create their own little Springfield displays.

One of the most popular (or at least infamous) characters on the show...

Release the hounds! (I've always wanted to say that!)

by millerpress , Jan 04 '01
Pros: He looks good!
Cons: Can't move, no fun to play with.
Don’t get me wrong here. I love these Simpson figures. I have them all. But they don’t move and that really hurts them in my reviews.

Mr. Burns looks great! They really captured is skinny, bent over posture really well and I love the evil grin...

Great figure, must have for any collection!

by amazingdm , May 29 '01
Pros: Great likeness, very funny just to look at, great lines, great accessories.
Cons: Only four points of articulation.
I bought this figure when Wave 1 of The World of Springfield came out,
and I think, along with Homer, it was my favorite figure of the group.

When I took it to my car after buying it from Target, I just sat there and started laughing. The...

It's fun to wallow in his "crapulence."

by squara , May 16 '01
Pros: It's "exxxxcellent." What a remarkable likeness.
Cons: Too many good lines, not everyone will be happy with the ones left out.
For any serious "Simpsons" collector, you have to have a Playmates Intelli-tronic Montgomery Burns. Fortunately, he lives up to expectations in his likeness to the character & with his added features - the goldfish bowl & stacks of money. Unfortunately,...
