This is a very unique children's book that comes up with an entertaining strategy to teach young one's the days of the week and exposes the reader to a different variety of of what a caterpillar consumes. As the caterpillar progresses through certain stages of growth, it portrays the metamorphosis a caterpillar intakes to become a butterfly.

This vibrant and colorful book by Eric Carle is just made for toddlers who love bright pictures and colors. I mean what kid does not? Filled with pages and pages of the ever popular hungry caterpillar, it is amusing and also gives the reader a view of how a real life caterpillar eats and grows into a butterfly.
I personally read this book when I was at the young age of seven. Today many people still enjoy this book made two decades ago, thus this proves the popularity of this book lasts.
I, myself love the medium used for the illustrations it is unique and still a fresh concept after many years.
