Although It's A Westin, It's Still An Airport Hotel

by BeastieGirl BeastieGirl is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Hotels & Travel, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Sep 17 '07
Pros: Heavenly beds, of course; special security checkpoint (no lines!)
Cons: interior rooms, dining options
If you have an early morning flight, or even a late arriving flight, it is always nice to be able to stay at a hotel near the airport, so you can either get dropped off or picked up without having to lose a lot of sleep in the meantime. When flying out ...

Lovely Hotel

by cherry_blossom , May 20 '07
Pros: Nice hotel. Very quiet. Conveniently located in airport. Front desk/Management are simply the BEST.
Cons: Expensive valet parking. Needs more English speaking housekeeping employees.

we loved it!!
by caradee ,Jun 27 '06
Pros: convenient for flying, very well appointed, quiet
Cons: not near anything to justify a longer stay!
we arrived quite late one night for our overnight stay here before flying out.
The hotel is incredibly quiet, and very, very nice inside.
The decor is quite striking, contemporary with an Asian flair. There is complimentary fancy water in the suite, which is pretty big, and Starbucks coffee and tea for the morning.
OH, and there are super plush bathrobes in all the rooms. The pillows were amazing (I'm very pillow particular). It was like falling asleep at an expensive spa!

It is right in the airport, so you must go down an escalator to check-in (there probably is an elevator, just wasn't obvious to us at 3am) but the check in was quick and the desk person very pleasant.

We did eat dinner here before leaving Detroit when we returned from our trip, the food was very good in the lounge, and not to pricey (apart from the soda, it cost the same as beer?).

we were very pleased and will gladly stay again. (I wish our next hotel on the was this nice)
