Pros: An easy read but with real content. Most every woman will enjoy it. Cons: Can't think of any.
This is the first book in the series. All books deal with the same group of women, based in Chicago, who are multi-racial and different economic groups. They are all struggling to raise children, deal with significant others, and find themselves as they try to live a 'good Christian life.'
This book is entertaining as each works through different experiences, sometimes with help from the other women, and all learn to turn to the Lord for the real strength.
Yes, this is a Christian book, but it is not so overwhelming that non-believers will be turned off. For those who may be searching themselves, this book even provides some insights that may be helpful.
Very few people will find this book offensive. This is definitely a woman's book, so don't try to get a guy to read it.
