Pros: French pressing makes the best coffee Cons: The lid could be better (but it isn't horrible)
Nissan was the company that introduced those cool stainless steel coffee mugs and thermoses. Since these nifty little devices came to the United States a decade back or so, they have been often copied and rarely (if ever) duplicated. If there was any ...

Pros: Durability, quality, insulation, style. Cons: I think not dishwasher safe.
French presses are the best method to produce coffee because they give you full control over how long and at what temperature you want the coffee to contact with the water (generally this is about 200 degree water for 4 minutes at a medium ground) ...

Pros: Insulated carafe ensures hot temperature for a considerably longer time than glass French press. Cons: Coffee grinds abound in your CUP!

Easy to use and keeps coffee warm for up to four hours
by robarooney ,Mar 31 '05
Pros: Easy to use. Makes a great cup of coffee. Keeps coffee hot. Cons: Lid just sits on top. Might come off if the press is up.
I am not a motivated morning person so I don't usually do anything in the kitchen before work. I love a good cup of coffee to get started but I won't take the time to make coffee or go out of my way to drive by a coffee shop or convenience store. So, no joe! Then, I saw one of my co-workers making coffee in the break-room with an interesting gizmo. She said it was a "french press". I did some research on the Internet and found the Nissan unit at Amazon. I had a coupon and the price was marked down so I ordered one. I've been using it for about two months and I love it. I'm boiling water in the teapot and grinding beans and getting work with hot coffee! Coffee stays hot from 7:30 until after 11. It is 11:09 a.m. right now and I'm sipping warm coffee that I made at 7:30 this morning. In summary, this is a great unit for a commuter cube mole like me.
