I bought the Foodsaver Professional II, thinking I was getting the best product on the market. It lasted about 15 months, then it would not seal the bags anymore. I discovered the metal sealer element had broken, so I called their customer service to order a new sealer bar. I was told they won't sell electrical parts due to liability. I was also told in no uncertain terms that the product failure was my fault, because I sealed products with moisture in them (they never even asked me how I used the product or what I sealed). Basically they told me I had to go out and buy a new one. Over the 15 months i owned the Foodsaver Professional II, I sealed at most 200 bags. Very poor reliability in my opinion. Nonetheless, I would have been happy to purchase a spare part at my expense if they had offered that option. Their customer service people were not very polite to me, either.
