If Diablo 2 were set in the Roman times…

by t13monkeys t13monkeys is a Top Reviewer on Epinions in Games, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500, Jul 04 '06
Pros: addictive gameplay, great graphics, perfect use of sound effects, very long game
Cons: repetitive, good item drops are a bit too rare, story is boring, bosses too easy
Titan Quest is exactly what you would get. In the recent plethora of Rome based titles, Rome: Total War, Glory of the Roman Empire, and the up and coming CivCity Rome, it seemed all too natural for a Diablo 2 clone based in Roman times to come out. ...

Titan Quest - A Greco-Roman Diablo II, from the writer of Braveheart

by phungus, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Sep 09 '07
Pros: Amazing graphics
Cons: Very repetitive, multiplayer kinda sucks
Titan Quest is a point and click action/RPG in the style of the Diablo games, but set in Greco-Roman times. It was released in 2006 by THQ. Despite its simplistic gameplay, this is a fairly addictive game that is visually impressive. The ...

Titan Quest: Gold Edition for Windows PC

by phungus, Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100, Apr 20 '08
Pros: It's worth it to get the expansion
Cons: It's a Diablo II clone
If you’re going to play Titan Quest, you might as well get the Gold Edition. It comes with the original game, plus the Immortal Throne expansion pack. The main reason why you should buy the Gold Edition is that the expansion pack ...

Diablo meets greek mythology

by twofish72 , Jan 16 '08
Pros: good graphics and sound, good game play, addictive
Cons: Boss monsters unimaginative and easy
There are a few computer and video games in the world that invent a new genre or redefine it. Doom for example brought us 3D-shooters, Dune II gave us real-time strategy and Diablo coined the term "Action RPG". And then, after a milestone of gaming, ...

Awesome Game...if you have an awesome computer (and I don't)
by ravenspike ,Jul 12 '06
Pros: Great graphics, massive number of creatures and item, giant world, fully customizable characters
Cons: Requires a lot more than most computers have in order to be supported.
For the short time I could stand the terrible frame rate, blurry graphics, and impossible to hit creatures since the computer would only register my mouse moves two second after I made them, this game seemed great. Beautiful world, large variety of creatures, extreme number and types of items, and very customizable characters. I really wished I could keep playing it. The thing is, I have a decent computer. It is a few years old, but I upgraded by video card and when I bought it, it was great. Also, it fit the minimum requirements. But not the minimum requirements for fun. I couldn't play the game for more than 20 minutes at a time, since it got slower and slower with every move I made, until eventually my character was just blinking around the screen. Maybe, years from now, when I have an awesome computer, I will find this game in a bargain bin and buy it. But for the rest of the life of this computer Titan Quest is denied me. By this game only if your computer can really support it, otherwise what looks like an awesome game is just no fun.
