Pros: Compact, easy to use. Lower cost. Cons: Map display and POI database need help.
Tom Tom has a nice lineup of GPS units that can save some good money up front. They are usually cheaper than what I consider higher end units and are functional for the intended purpose of helping you find your way. Most complaints about GPS units are ...
Just recently, I got myself a new GPS unit. Of course my girlfriend got pretty jealous and wanted one of her own. Seeing as how she knows little about electronics and essentially told me to choose and buy the unit for her, I used essentially the same ...
Pros: Easy to view, easy to understand. Cons: Doesn't know where anything is.
The Tomtom 720 has so much potential. Unfortunately, at the end of the day, it has to get you where you need to go and it falls far short. First, the display is very nice. The maps are easy to view. There is a ton of information of the screen ...
Pros: Large Screen
Excellent features
Good computer interface software
Easy to use Cons: Weak FM Modulated Output
Not Compatible with many blue tooth phones
Purchased this unit and have been using it for about 2 months now. Bought it prior to a 6 hour car trip out of state that I was having to make at night. I also lived in Europe for a while and had a vehicle there with a built in GPS Unit, and ...
Pros: Bluetooth, Mapshare, 4.3inch widescreen Cons: Inaccurate in routing, Too Menu intensive.
Unfortunately I can not write an in-depth review since I only held onto the unit for 1 Day before returning it. I bought this unit upon the recommendation of a Friend that recently bought one. I had an older Garmin C330 that has never given me a problem, ...
Pros: very accurate and easy to use Cons: unit get confuse on road changes/closures
I had the opportunity to this GPS to the ultimate test this week. We took a road trip from Dallas, Texas to Grand Canyon with no map or compass and relying only the TomTom 720. The GPS passed with flying colors! WARNING: MAKE SURE YOU HAVE THE ...
Pros: Accurate directions, up to date maps, PRICE!!! Cons: "Points of Interest" database not as extensive as some competitors
I admit it - I am directionally challenged. It's not my fault...I am great at following directions. It's just that I always seem to be going someplace where the cities either haven't put up street signs (what's that about?) or freeway exits are not ...
Pros: Bluetooth, cool voices, large screen, rugged construction Cons: Clear Blue tooth use requires and external mic.
Background: I originally bought a Tom-Tom One right before Christmas. It was a great unit. You can read that review here too if you like. I returned the unit after late October after learning we paid way more than we should have. This unit ...
Pros: Easy interface, Points of interest (speed camera warnings!), verbal instruction, automatically readjusts for wrong turns Cons: Doesn't seem to take into account typical congestion areas, slow/inaccurate startup
I love this thing! We just moved to London and not only do I have to always drive on the other side of the road but I also have to be cognizant of one way streets and all these inane roundabouts that make it impossible for me to glance at a standard map ...
Pros: MP3, audio book, maps, POI, Bluetooth, Fm transmiter Cons: crashes, no SDHC, Bluetooth HF noise reduction, TOMTOM software
I purchased this in October 2007 and have mixed feelings. If feels live a very early version of a great product. There are snags, poor documentation, and incompatibility. But... The good: ()complete maps - I have all of Europe on one device ...
The Tomtom GO 720 is a very nice piece of hardware. It's sleek looking and feels solid and well built. Unfortunately, that is all the good I can say about the product based on my experience with it. My problems with the Tomtom 720 stem from it's very ...
Pros: Touch screen operation. RDS antenna traffic service. Eventually, bluethooth, maps addition etc.will payoff when needed Cons: Price. When factoring$260+ for unit and $115+ for the RDS antenna it's quite pricetag.
I bought this GPS because you could add music or extra maps to an SD card and playt it wirelessly through your car speaker. I was very dissapointed with the static i got. It's possible that it could work differently in another vehicle. Another feature I ...

I have owned this satnav for about ten months. I have used it successfully in the UK, France and Spain. A great advantage has been finding my way around local roads when arriving close to my destination as well as when departing an unfamiliar ...
Pros: Once you have properly set it up this unit is fantastic. Cons: If you are a computer novice, don't bother...you'll never get it stable.
I bought my 720 back in mid-December. Spent a good amount of time reading the tomtomforums website and seeing what other users were going through. The bottom line is that this unit is not for a technical neophyte. There are little tricks to getting ...
This unit pretty much does it all! by volkan ,Dec 03 '07
Pros: bright screen
good suction mount
good volume even with stereo on
Cons: some new streets not yet in database
I purchased this for my wife 3 days ago and so far it is a true gem. The Bluetooth (contrary to phone compatibility/functionality issues I've heard) works awesome! I own a Blackberry Pearl and my wife owns the Erikson 810W (both on Rogers network here in Canada) and both work like a charm. The text to speech feature is quite good. Overall, very happy and good bang for $399.
