Pros: Easy start, side-discharge feature is great for wet grass. Personal Pace is excellent.
    Cons: non so far.

Summary: I recently sold a house with a 3 acre lawn. Had both a riding lawnmower (that went with the house), and a craftsman push mower that I kept. I figured I would not need the rider anymore. It figures; we just rented a house with a 3/4 acre lawn; very hilly, ... read more

Pros: great mulcher/bagger, well thought-out and built mower
Cons: wish gast tank was 1 gallon in size.

Summary: After comparing Craftsman, Husquevarna, Poulin, LawnBoy, I went to our nearest Toro sales/service center and spend over an hour comparing the features I wanted to the 20092 and the others.   From the grease zerts for each wheel, metal covered ... read more

  • Noisy Briggs & Stratton and slipping noisy belt drive ("personal pace")

    Sep 20, 2009 by
    Rated a Very Helpful Review
Pros: Cuts ok if grass isn't very long.  Mostly starts on one pull.
Cons: You will need ear protection. Manual is almost useless.  Toro is unresponsive.

Summary: This is a noisy Briggs and Stratton powered mower.  It cuts ok, or unevenly, depending upon the length of the grass. If  the grass is a little long or not perfectly dry, you will do a butcher job, regardless of whether you bag or ... read more

Pros: Aluminum deck, GTS engine, 5 year warranty on many parts
Cons: Switching between bag and side-discharge difficult.

Summary: I read many reviews on line and Consumer Report's review, so I was convinced this mower was ideal for me. However, after seeing the mower in person, I decided to keep looking. I wanted to use the mower for cutting tall grass at the back of my lot ... read more

Pros: Personal Pace, mulching, cast aluminum deck.
Cons: Bagging could be better, but is not bad by any means.

Summary: After a few weeks of use, my Toro Super Recycler SR4 20092 has worked really well. This is my first self-propelled and premium quality mower and now I wonder why I waited so long to get one. First off, if you do some research you may hear of some ... read more

Cons: A little tricky to turn and back up when self-propel kicks in.

Pros: Good cut, self-propelling mechanism works great when it works
Cons: Super cheap plastics and plastic ties hold it together.  Very very expensive to maintain.

Summary: I bought this Toro from a local Lawn and Garden store to replace my 15 year old Honda.  What a mistake.  In the first two years (80 total hours of use) I have put $300 into repairs.  It looks older than my ancient Honda due to cracked or ... read more

    Jan 24, 2009 by

Pros: Ease of use. Bagging. Even-ness of cut.
Cons: Even-ness of cut is not quite as good as the 20066.

Summary: I started with the 20066 which I bought from big orange for $350. It cut great, was very easy to use but I was not pleased with the bagging which is 70% of how I use a mower. I decided to move up to the 20092 from a local dealer and returned the 20066. ... read more

Pros: Personal pace, easy start, recycler
    Cons: None
