Pros: Personal pace system works well. Tecumseh engine starts easily. Surprisingly "quiet" for a gas mower. Cons: Hose connector is questionable. Removing the bag can drop clippings if you're not careful.
Summary: After three years of pushing an MTD mower around my lawn in 100-degree heat, this year I decided to upgrade to a self-propelled mower and the Toro seemed to fit the bill. I picked mine up from my local big orange DIY store for $369. The mower was easy to ... read more

Pros: Personal Pace Drive Simple switch between bag and mulch Briggs engine Cons: Customer service wheel gear adjustment / design
Summary: We bought our Toro from the big box store in 2009.We thought it was a great mower until this year (2012) when the right rear drive wheel started locking up and eventually tore out the gears. $25 later and two mowings and it is starting to act up ... read more

Pros: It does cut grass Cons: It cost a lot and didn't perform
Summary: This is the worst mower I have ever owner and I owner numerous over my 50 years of mowing. This mower called "Personal Pace" in my opinion is a push mower, but weights 20 pounds more and costs $300 more at the time I purchased it. I have to push this ... read more

Pros: A handsome machine. Engine started very easily. Propulsion system nice. (new machine) Cons: Simply couldn't do an acceptable job of cutting the lawn.
Summary: I have used and owned quite a few different mowers, both new and well used. This one, from new, proved to be far and away the worst performing mower I have ever come across, as regards my primary requirement of getting round the lawn quickly leaving a ... read more

Pros: Ouiet, efficient. Battery life good. Starts first time. Cons: Personal Pace transmission, hope others have better luck.
Summary: Spring 2010 - start of the second full mowing season for this mower in North Florida. Unfortunately, it didn't make it. After storing it for the winter and pulling it out for its first mow of the season, I found that the rear wheels will not roll ... read more

Pros: Easy to push Cons: Terrible transmission and customer service.
Summary: This would be a great mower but for one major problem. I live on a hill and have slopes of up to about 25 degrees. Whenever I start pushing the mower up a hill, the transmission slips with a terrible grinding sound. Once I get moving, it is fine but ... read more

Pros: The color reminds me of my childhood fire truck. Cons: Extremely poor construction!!!! Owned less than one season
Summary: Age 57 - I've owned nothing but Toro lawn mowers for most of my adult life. By far this is the worst I've ever owned & the only one to not make it through one season. Bought mine from Home Depot in April 2012. It's now September

Pros: Works well on level ground. Cuts well without the bag. Cons: Gears grind on hills. Wheels wobble and one fell off!
Summary: My 4 year old Toro Personal Pace started "falling apart" after the third year. The machine's gears grind when going up hill and ALL four wheels wobbled like crazy after a couple of years. Impossible to fix and the back left wheel FELL OFF while

Pros: Easy to start Cons: Design. Requires more attention than an old car. Money pit.
Summary: After only two years of use, it is already time to purchase a new mower. This mower's drive train has a serious design flaw. The belt cover has a large gap that allows debris to enter and derail the drive belt. Changing the belt is no easy task.

Pros: bag for clippings is ok size, it fits into paper lawn refuse bags. Cons: transmission, gas consumption, self propel-it doesn't, mulching, cutting grass any more than half an inch.
Summary: The mower is fine as long as your yard is perfectly flat. I told the salesman that my yard has a slope to it. If there is any slope to your yard the mower is a Personal Push! The mower by design does not propel itself uphill, its totally dependent on the

Pros: Red and therefore, easy to see in the long uncut lawn where it stopped Cons: Low quality construction.Replacing the parts, that have worn out, will cost $300.00. Labor extra.
Summary: This mower lasted one season (March-October) before it started to wear out. The transmission started to grind and finally completely stopped working in its second season. The wheels are being held on with bungie cords so the height position doesn't shift

Pros: Very dependable for me before the wheel problem. Cons: This saga is to be continued.
Summary: I had mine 4 years before it quit working. It works well if you want to mow in small circles as only one wheel will work on the self propelled. Am going to try to fix it myself as I am somewhat handy at these things but from reading the other reviews I

Pros: engine starts with one or two pulls every time. Blade cuts evenly. Cons: problem wiht transmision is costly repir that shouldn't have happended.
Summary: the personal pace mower that Toro builds should be a good device, but only if it continues to work. for my small lawn, the engine is good, and it cuts well, but after three years on my very easy (and level) lawn, the transmision gave

Pros: Ran good for the first few mowings. Cons: Doesn't hold up in the relative short term and they won't fix it!

Pros: It looks kind of nice - sometimes. Cons: The hefty repair bills will make you want to hire a lawn service.
Summary: My Toro self-propelled is now three years old and there have been constant problems. During the first year it would only "self-propel" sporadically. Calls to Toro Customer service resulted in infantile advice about how to stop walking, pause

Pros: Lightweight, easy to handle. Great cut! Cons: None so far.
Summary: The Toro Personal Pace 20073 is the best mower I've owned in about 40 years of mowing. I bought it to replace a cheap riding mower that left the lawn in ragged shape. The Toro leaves it with the manicured look. This mower is lightweight and easy to
