Summary: I've used the 20095 for a full season now. I upgraded to this electric start model, so that when I'm away my wife can mow without having to try to pull-start the mower. Well, the electric start feature has spoiled me. The pull-start feature does work on ... read more

Pros: It lasted 17 years without a trip to a repair shop. Cons: Wheel bearings/axels wore out at 17 years.
Summary: I purchased my first Toro Super Recycler in 1994. I have been using it for 17 years. I have been 100% satisfied. After 17 years the wheels are very loose and wobble. It still starts 1st pull every time. I have changed the oil almost every season. The oil ... read more

Pros: The Personal Pace system is really nice. Cons: Piece of crap.
Summary: I have had three mowers in my lifetime, and I am in my fifties. The first was a Lawnboy, and I ran it so long I rebuilt it twice, and it was still a pretty good mower all-around. The second was a Snapper Jet Vac with a Briggs and it ran ... read more

Pros: Even cut, Personal Pace system, width of cut, variety of cutting lengths. Cons: Poor discharge of cut grass, buildup of grass under body, vibration
Summary: I've had this mower since around 2002 and only had to get it because of an unfortunate accident involving fingers with my old Lawn Boy (which I loved). I'm not unhappy with it exactly, but in the only 8 years I've had it for, it's ... read more

Pros: Climbs inclines like a pro, love the personal pace and hose cleanout. Cons: Leaves pieces of uncut grass, difficult for short people to pull start, is very heavy.
Summary: I bought this mower in May and I loved it. I'm a small framed 64 yr. old female with a half acre to mow in Florida. This mower was great on inclines but a little heavy around the various gardens. I didn't have to pull very hard and it ... read more

Pros: Works well but struggles in long grass. Cons: Toro not honoring its warranty obligation.
Summary: I purchased a Toro 20056 (s/n270000894) with an aluminum body and immediately had problems. The blade clutch wasn't securely tightened and became loose during the first mowing, eventually failing to spin up when engaged and causing a violent vibration. I ... read more

Pros: Personal Pace, aluminum deck, B&S engine, maneuverability, durability Cons: Bad side-discharge chute design
Summary: I've been buying Toro mowers since 1975. They're durable mowers that provide a great cut. Of the walk-style mowers I've had, all but one have had aluminum decks, which contribute to the durability. I bought the 20037 Super Recycler new in 2002. It's ... read more

Pros: OHC engine has good power.
Easy start
Awesome mulching
Personal pace works well Cons: Pulling the mower back is a little tricky, but you get the hang of it.
Summary: First, a BIG thanks to mkowaleski. Reading his very detailed review of the SR4 20057 led me in the right direction, and I felt I should chime in with my own thoughts. We live on half an acre in Atlanta. I don't mind cutting the grass, and rather ... read more

Pros: I have a thick green lawn that this mower brings a manicured look to. Cons: Handle needs a cushion grip.
Summary: It was hard not to buy the Personal Pace system but my lot is 60 by 138ft. With house, gardens, shed and trees I seem to back up about a third of the time and that would be a manual thing anyway. My Father often remarked at the logic of paying to have ... read more
