Pros: Clean, simple design; nice sound; good picture quality Cons: The remote from hell.
This is one of those for-want-of-a-nail homeowner stories - it began when my daughter's TV suddenly stopped working. Who knows why? One day it worked, the next day it didn't. For all I know, some 25 cent part had rattled loose, but her old set might ...

Pros: Great picture, flexible controls, many inputs, good owner guide, piano black finish. Cons: Takes some adjusting to get the best picture. No variable Audio output.
I chose this Toshiba 32" LCD TV largely on the basis of Toshiba's reputation. I wasn't able to find any product reviews. I did spend hours reading about the pros and cons of the various digital TVs. I decided against getting a micro-projection set ...

Pros: Great picture quality, vast array of inputs, excellent price Cons: Detail in dark scenes is a little murky, okay remote
After looking at a number of LCD TVs to replace my 27" tube, I decided on purchasing a Toshiba panel. It appeared to have a picture quality equal to that of many pricier TVs from Samsung, Sony, and Sharp while at a lower price point. After several ...

Great TV Lousy Warranty Service
by julespma ,May 31 '07
Pros: Great image, lots of inputs, good sound. Cons: If it breaks expect long wait for parts.
I bought this TV in late April and after the second day the screen started going black. I called Toshiba and they instructed me to drop it by a service center. It has being four weeks and the repair people say that they have not gotten the part yet.
It is a wonderful TV but Toshiba seems to be slow to provide parts if their electronics break. Buy it from a local place that you can return or exchange the TV in case it breaks in the first month. Or wait maybe two months to get it repaired.

Excellent HDTV without the four-figure price
by fade0246 ,Mar 26 '07
Pros: Awesome HD picture quality, decent price, strong connectivity features, elegant appearance Cons: HDTVs still on the pricey side, no 1080p resolution but 1080i is awesome with this
I really wanted an LCD HDTV, and after seeing my parents' Toshiba 32HL66, I bought a 32HL67 a couple weeks ago, replacing my ancient 19" RCA television. The HD picture quality is excellent, the HD channels look awesome on this TV. It has 3 HDMI inputs, 2 component inputs, and the old S-Video and composite also. I use HDMI from my HD cable box and component from the DVD player. It also has a half-mute feature that I like, you can press 'mute' once and it will halve the volume. I like the piano black finish, really stands out. The TV speaker is okay but I run a 5.1 Aperion Audio system...IMO, if you can afford an HDTV, you should invest in a good speaker system also.
The picture quality is very good with standard DVDs, especially with a progressive-scan (480p) DVD player. I am looking forward to either HD-DVD or Blu-ray winning the format war. The quality of both should exceed that of HD channels.
I paid 900 bucks at buydig.com...probably cheaper now though. At that price I still think this LCD is a fine value.

two months and counting
by nccustomer ,Aug 04 '08
Pros: The set worked fine until it went black.
Nine months is not acceptable.
Cons: Everything, at this point.
Toshiba does not seem interested in keeping me as a customer.
My 32" LCD went out on Fathers Day. (Black Screen)
It was less than nine months old and still under warranty.
Now it is the first week of August, and Toshiba still can't tell their Authorized local service center when they can expect to receive the LCD panel to repair it.
They are as frustrated as I am.
I've spoken to Toshiba several times, and they obviously don't care.
After a reasonable amount of time a reputable manufacturer would have either replaced the set or sent me a voucher for the 880.00 purchase price.
I will never buy another Toshiba product
