Pros: Nice price, good features for the average user Cons: Poor customer service, overheats easily, Heatsink clogs easily, intake fan placement
I started working from home a couple years ago, so last year, my husband bought me a laptop for my birthday. I needed a computer that would suit my needs (I'm a freelance writer) and not cost a bundle (again, I'm a freelance writer). So we opted for ...
I recently purchased a Toshiba Satellite laptop. While I was looking into getting a new laptop, my cousin mentioned Toshiba to me. I started comparing laptops and found Toshiba was the way to go. This computer is extremely fast and reliable. It has 1 ...
Purchased from Amazon. I read reviews before buying. I bought it because it was a good price for the hardware supplied. Screen is large, color is good. Plenty of USB ports. I use this as my home/travel computer and have a desktop at the office. I ...
Pros: Cheap Cons: Slow with Vista, lack device drivers for XP, lack restore DVDs, huge and heavy.
This is going to be the shortest review Ive ever written. A friend of mine bought the Toshiba Satellite A135-S4467 on a whim. For $600, this laptop has a 15.4 inch wide-screen, 160 GB drive which spins at 5400 rpm. It also has 1 GB of RAM, and a ...
The Toshiba Satellite Notebook is a great computer for starter or home/school use. It is a low cost option for those wanting a laptop but don't want to spend a fortune. I was able to find this Toshiba Satellite for under $700.00! I was then able to buy ...
Pros: Trustworthy, Tough, Easy to use and understand, good for a "leisurely" computer user. Cons: Tends to get quite warm, start up and shut off seem to take a while.
I received this laptop 2 years ago for my birthday, and I am currently writing this review on it. It has held up through many airport securities, road trips, and even when it is in my bag and I'm riding my bike! I really do love it, even though it has ...
Do not buy anything by Toshiba by bdou ,Jul 13 '07
Pros: none Cons: Everything
Terrible choice on my part. This thing is as slow as a Commodore 64...if you have an old 64, keep it !! Learned a valuable lesson. Buy an IBM or a Dell and you'll get your money's worth.
Pros: Performance is high, cost is low (look for it to be on sale) Cons: Preloaded with junk. Easy to trigger the fan to become very noisy.
This model has the fastest specs for the budget-minded. I've been nothing but amazed at what high-demand software (read games like Half-Life 2) I've been able to run with this notebook.
Since it's preloaded with the miscellaneous junk, you're required to spend a half an hour uninstalling and disabling it.
After a couple weeks the cooling fan began making noises. This would happen if I picked the unit up while on as often happens with a notebook. It's an intermittent problem that is starting to irritate.
ps... the other reviews here don't appear to be anything but anti-Toshiba propaganda. Nothing based on the merits of their experience. Sad.
Pros: Reliable, Easy to use, Cool, Cons: I cant realy think of any
I love this computer, i could not survive with out it. I bought this computer in augest of 2007 and since then it has been very relible. It has not crashed once and it is in my opinion it is one of the best computers for the price($550). I dont use it for much browsing the web, school work ( i am only 13) and the ocasional movie. The disk drive works well as does the key board and mouse. The speakers pack a punch for there size. In all this computer is one of the best for your money.
I purchased my Toshiba Laptop in May of 2007. After having it for 5 months, the motherboard failed. I took it in for service and had it repaired under warranty. By the way, I liked the laptop for it's compact size, not because I was carrying it all over the place. This month the motherboard went out again and the 1 year warranty is up. I was told by the service technician that it will cost between 200-400 dollars to repair it and it is not guaranteed to work. For that amount of money, I could buy a new computer, which is what I did. One year and 3 months and my laptop is garbage. I will never buy a Toshiba again.

Pros: It no longer uses any electricity. Cons: As somone who is currently unemployed I hate that I wasted my money.
I used mine about 10 times before the 1 year warranty ran out. Soon afterwards it broke down. The symptoms suggest the motherboard. I did a google search and found lots of others have had the same problem. They probably make reliable products but this machine is apparently an exception. I will never buy ANYTHING made by Toshiba again.
