Pros: Safer for baby (and parents), easy to use and clean, comfortable, good design. Cons: May not fit all bathtubs...but it comes close.
Something we're noticing with our second child (Carter, now 8 months old) that we didn't with our first (Miles, turning three this month) is that we're getting smarter about certain things. With Miles, we had him in his own little bathtub, which was ...
Pros: Great price, adjustable arm that attaches to tub, and swivels. Cons: It may not fit all bathtubs but does fit most.
We bought this bath seat for our son when he was 6 months old. He was already sitting up and trying to sit in his baby tub he had at the time! We were having difficulty trying to keep him in the tub so we knew we had to get a bath seat because trying ...
Pros: Excellent design, heavy duty, very comfortable for the parent Cons: More expensive than other seats, but well worth it.
Introduction I've got two kids and both of them require bathing. That said, the search for a good bath seat was an ongoing process. See, the only bath seats I'd seen were the kind that suction cup to the bottom of the tub. And since I have ...
Pros: comfortable for baby, easy to use, good value, frees hands! Cons: requires using more water, requires draining when done
I had been given an aquababy (or thermobaby) bath ring to use with my first child, and didn't care for it a bit. I think I used it two times and never took it out again. I didn't see the point in using it since I had to be right there with him any way, ...
Pros: Much better than the suction cup flimsy systems Cons: Bulky but worth it
I got this seat for 40.00. My husband nearly fell over when he saw how much i paid for it and what it was. Our son is a big boy, and at 4 months he weighs close to 20 lbs already. I am only 100 lbs and it can be quite a trick trying to lean over and ...
Pros: Swivels, stays in place, very adjustable Cons: Bulky
I did NOT want to purchase this bath seat. It just seemed too big and bulky to me. I wanted one of the simpler, smaller ones that suction to the bottom of the bathtub. I searched for months to find the kind I was looking for, and then when I got it ...
Pros: non slip arm rest, adjusts to fit all tubs, large leg holes Cons: somewhat large, have to drain out the bottom of it
"Now this is exactly what I need" is what I was thinking as I walked out of our local WalMart with bath seat in hand. The price was right and after all I did need to replace my son's spongy bath mat with something a little more grown up (he's now ...
Pros: Swivel seat Cons: Arm requires a perfect fit over the tub side, closed back, bulky size
Once my daughter outgrew our kitchen-sink baby bath tub, I was desperate to find a safe way to bathe her in our full size tub. Although she was sitting well on her own, I don't think it's safe to leave babies or young toddlers unsupported in the tub. Too ...
Pros: Durability Function Easily stored Great transition from baby tub to full size tub Cons: Does not adjust to all tubs Babies legs can get twisted from swivel seat
I bought this bath seat for my son at a consignment sale. It was in great condition, which tells me that it is durable because it has lasted with at least one child. My son had outgrown his baby tub, but was no where near ready to just give a bath in the ...
Looking for a different seat! by missykrouth ,Feb 04 '07
Pros: better than trying to hold a slippery baby Cons: tips over! (safety first?), bulky, takes on water
We got this tub seat because we couldn't find the kind with suction cups on the bottom. We should've looked harder!! This tub seat has tipped over twice when my son was trying to reach for toys in the tub! Ofcourse, I was there to fish him out right away. But, it really scared him! Thinking of all those people that may leave their child in it unattended really scared me! The seat also takes on lots of water during baths, so when we remove it from the tub, it makes a big mess. It is also bulky and hard to stow. Definately would not recommend this seat--find something better!
This tub seat does the Trick! by laplap ,Jun 12 '06
Pros: Durable, Safe, Secure Cons: Takes on a little Water after a bath
The tub seat is a life-saver! When my baby graduated to the tub she wouldn't sit in the tub. All she wanted to do was run around and try to climb over the side. She was an accident waiting to happen! All it would take was one slip and she could hit her head. Not to mention, how were we suppose to soap her up and complete a bath???
It has an arm that fits over the side of the tub. It may not fit every tub but it fit my fiberglass tub/shower combo. The seat can swivel and is really durable.
The main design flaw is that after a bath the seat takes on a little water. So I pick it up and turn it over to drain over night. You don't have to do this but I can't stand the idea of water standing in it and combining with the next bath's water.
And as always, never leave a child unattended (even for a minute).
Pros: You can find this seat sold just about anywhere. Cons: I never had a chance to even use it!
Now I am not one to knock a new product since I have enjoyed almost everything I've purchase except this! The hassle of getting this seat (and of course the box does not say what tubs it may or may not fit)... to get home, take it out of the box and find that not only does the "arm" that's supposed to fit over the side of the tub, not fit (it's not wide enough)... the seat itself is too short for the tub! The arm does not separate from the seat so you can only fit it sideways and what good is that! Then... the hassle of returning the seat the next day. Naturally that blue swivel seat is discontinued and all other swivel seats you have to buy overseas. Now we run around with a dirty 6 month old because he can only A- bathe WITH me... or B- hold him with one arm while washing with the other which isn't "tub fun" for him. (No kidding, he's clean). If you have a whirlpool deep tub... a claw-foot tub... or any older tub that's in ANY way oversized... this seat may not fit. Good Luck!
THIS IS A MUST HAVE! WORRY FREE TUB EXPERIENCE! by hetha ,Jun 22 '06
Pros: Safe...Durable...Useful...Inexpensive Cons: Bulky to store
Of all the items I had/have for my children, this was the best. Everything about it is great! The first time I used it I really felt at ease giving my kids a bath. One of the most useful baby items you will ever have!
Pros: Keeps baby safe. No worries of slippery when wet. Cons: It doesn't fit oversize garden tubs.
Great price!!! This is a big help for the parents and grandparents out there. Very stability. Will fit most tubs. We paid 34.99 for ours. The babies seem to enjoy it just as much as we do.It's also easier to play with the baby in it. Saves a lot of strain off your back. Great product!! I recommend very highly. If you dont have one. You need to invest one. No assembly required. Just take out of the box.
