First of all this is a good cold medicine if your child has a fever or pain of some sort. This medicine containes acetaminophen the main medication of childrens tylenol. But they have a new line called simply stuffy and simply cold by tylenol brand and these would work better for your child if you don't have the fever. To avoid over medicating your child. Also these products taste very good and I have not had a problem getting my children age two and three to take it. A word about stuffy noses or runny noses your best bet is a decongestent and yes this tylenol cold has it in it. The thing is it won't stop the runny nose because that is not the cure. You see a decongestent will help the sinus caveties drain and prevent bacteria infection and other complecations. Also a cool mist humedifier is good for this too. So don't expect this medicined to just stop the runny nose because that is not the point of this type. Your doctor will recomend a decongestent and acetaminophen for fever and if you do indeed need both then this is a good choice.
