Purchased at Sears for $550 after last year's Superbowl frenzy, this unit displays great images from a multitude of sources I have operating in my bedroom media center. With only a slight delay, I switch between my DVD recorded/player (Accurian ...
Pros: Cheap price, good picture, remote worked fine. Cons: Picture cut out faster and faster after about 10 months. Customer service no longer available.
I bought the 32" PLTV from Sears in February 2007. Only had it hooked up to a VCR/DVD player for the first 10 months. When I signed up for HD TV service, moved it up to the family room, and mounted it on the wall, it worked fine for about a week. It ...
Pros: Good picture and styling, fairly easy to set up. Cons: Remote sporadic in getting tv to turn on. Poor workmanship since 2 of 2 defective.
We fell for the ShopNBC pitch. Sounded like a good price and they made the tv sound OH SO GOOD! When we first got it, the pictures were very good, nice styling. But the remote never worked from the beginning; like others stated it often took several ...

Pros: Picture good until..... Cons: Buyer Beware and stick with a good name brand!

Pros: Nice picture if it will work. Cons: Service is non-existent,No English(Chinese Owned)
Got my tv 18 mos.ago and the power supply board went out. No one wants to repair this brand especially Sears, since the manufacture will not cooperate in furnishing the part #, so it can be ordered. All Protron will give you is "take it to TV repair shop for service." Not even the Attorney General in Calif.can get anything out of them. All that is left is hire an attorney.Never ever do business with Protron, it is Chinese owned and operated and they have very poor English.
AFTER ONE YEAR ITS LOSING SOUND by geobro7 ,Jul 02 '08
Pros: Great picture with great features. Cons: Seems to have a very, very short life span.
I also was duped by the SHOPNBC sales pitch. I've had the tv about a year and I have no sound on a couple of stations. The weirdest thing is when the Simpson's come on and when TNT shows a game the sound is in Spanish. I recently lost sound on NBC & CW11. Cust. Ser. was no help at all, they told me to take it to a authorized dealer but did not have an authorized dealer to send me to. Now that I'm researching trying to find help I'm noticing all the problems people are having with this product. All I can do at this point is SOUND OFF.
Bought this particular TV a couple of weeks ago, mainly because of price from sears for 899.00 plus a 5% rebate for using their credit. Have been very impressed with the picture and sound.
