Pros: Clairty, tapeless recording, advanced phone book features, stylish Cons: Small handset LCD screen, could be easily misplaced, could be pricey
One of the things needed when I moved into my new home was a phone as I left my old phone(s) at my old home. I checked around some on the computer as to what I thought I wanted and then just headed to Target and quickly made a choice. I ...
Pros: Speaker phone, opt. wall mount, answering machine Cons: Continues to ring when other handsets are used, must be pushed into cradle to charge
My husband and I both have our own cell phones, and we use these for all of our long distance needs, especially since we can take advantage of AT&T's family plan that allows free calls from one AT&T member to another. However, while many ...
Pros: answering machine displays message number, has small footprint, speakerphone, handset accepts headset Cons: voice quality at both ends, ring volume, discomfort to ear, customer service
We needed to replace our Uniden EXS9800 900MHz cordless phone after years of great service. We first purchased the Panasonic KX-TG1033S DECT 6.0 phone and thought it was pretty good, but had some issues with the answering machine, caller ID, and dial ...
Pros: Good range and long talk time Cons: Doesn't work in power outages situation, occasionally drop calls and for short battery life
This review is about the factory refurbished, Uniden DECT 2080-5 1.9 GHz single line five phone system with answering machine. For a cordless phone, the range is a phenomenal especially when comparing with one that operates at 5.8 GHz. The sound ...
Pros: Great range, clear sound, intelligent software, backlit keys Cons: Only available in single line version. Modest screen. Editor is limited
I bought this phone at Costco. it was a tough choice between Panasonic , Vtech, and Uniden. I consider Uniden to be the low end among the three. I own older models of all three manufacturers. I decided to try Uniden because you got 5 handsets. First ...
Pros: Decent features like speakerphone, remote answering machine check, conference calling. Cons: Poor range and sound quality. Poor sound quality on answering machine.
After all the batteries died on my previous multi line phone I bought this set at Costco. Over all I'm pretty disappointed. The sound quality on both the phone and especially the answering machine is not very good. Although they say there is on ...
Pros: Lots of features, color coded handsets, 1.9 GHz Cons: High price, bright LED on base
The model I purchased came with four handsets. Each handset came with a charging base, one of which is the base unit with the answering machine. Each handset is color coded and is programmable for the location such as “Kitchen”, ...
Pros: Upright base, compact handsets, rubbery buttons Cons: Belt clip, ring tones, editing phone book
I owned a previous Uniden phone system and was happy with it. When I decided to upgrade to dect 6.0 this year, my first stop was Uniden. I like the compact vertical base versus a horizontal base. No straining to see if there's messages or to read the ...
Pros: The intercom & the address book on one headset can update the other phones. Cons: The reception is NOT clear, the phone cuts off often and displays "out of range".
I have had this phone for over a year and am now researching other phones to replace this one. Friends and family have often complained of their Uniden phones but I always had a great experience with these phones in the past. So, I did not ...
Pros: Graeat price, ergonomics and design. Sound quality is usually good. Cons: Handset sometimes losses base. Speakerphone does not work while in intercom mode.
This phone system at first showed a lot of promise. They are attractive phones, with fairly good sound quality from both the handset and the speakerphone. The different color handsets are great. Aside from it's good looks, utilizing ...
Pros: Answering machine mounts on wall & displays number of messages, easy phone book set up Cons: Sound quality, uncomfortable on ear, drops calls, poor customer service
I bought this phone because of interference issues and because Consumer Reports highly rated an earlier version Uniden phone. At first, it was great but then each handset started intermittently sounding like I was in a tunnel. It did not matter how far away or close to the base I was.
Sometimes, I will hear a strange beep and the call will drop. This usually happens on an incoming call.
I sent an email to Uniden's support department through their website explaining my issues. I never received an answer.
The headset is really uncomfortable for me.
I liked that fact that I could set up the phone book on one handset and then easily copy it to the other handsets.
Pros: Range and sound quality. Cons: Cheap materials and construction. Drops calls. Buttons fail to work.
This phone is of poor design and performance. I have had no issues with sound quality or range. However, it drops calls as other reviewers have indicated. Furthermore, the button that handles ring volume, speaker volume and the phone book has failed on all the phones and I have had them for less than a year. I am replacing this phone far before I ever intended to and will NEVER purchase a Uniden product again. I even went to the extent of taking the phones apart to clean the contacts where the buttons are failing. The contacts that the failed buttons use are independent of all the other buttons on the phone. There is something about these particular buttons that causes them to fail. Whatever the cause, the construction/design/materials are a failure. My other gripe is that the answering machine does not do a very good job of telling you when someone called. Too add to the poor performance of the answering machine, when it does give you a time, it is difficult to ascertain which message the time stamp applies to. This phone is a piece of junk.
Nice at first, but toggle went out on two of the three units by jeg_columbusoh ,Dec 07 '08
Pros: Small units, easy to use, Lots of easy to use features. Cons: Durability and dependability. Phones are compact and easy to misplace. Standby battery life poor.
Nice features, Answering system compact and fairly easy to use and set up. Remote handset bases small and convenient to place anywhere there is an electrical outlet (Remote phones connect to base set/answering machine that connects uses phone jack). Durability a serious concern. After only six months, two of the three phones toggling/directional button malfunctioned, thus leaving the phone without caller ID recall or access to numerous programming features - Big Problem. I am going to be returning/replacing this system today. I did buy extra warranty, you will too. Voice quality and range was average, nothing exceptional. Battery life is relatively short lived on standby off charging bases.
Pros: ...don't think there are any.... Cons: toggle doesn't workdifficult alpha numeric entry
toggle switch (up down right left, has failed on all three handsets in less than a year). Often says "out of range" when right next to the base unit. Look for something else.
