I bought this system to allow me to work my DVR on a second TV that is upstairs from the DVR. I also have a throughout-the-house sound system and wanted to be able to control my receiver and multi-disc CD player from anywhere in the house. This product fit the bill perfectly!!! The pre-programmed items worked very well but this unit is completely customizable with text, order of functions, and will learn from any infrared remote. I couldn't be happier. The macro functions are great for turning on multiple items at once or really any combination of functions. You do need the manual to do most things since it is rather complicated but I give this product top ratings!!!
