Pros: A few songs that actually seem to have an aura of authenticity...namely "Thoughtless". Cons: So contrived. The "ho-eet" thing is bothersome... oh, yeah, and it just drags...
Sludgy. Sludge. Hard rock. Metal? Nu-metal? HARD! ROCK! Scaaaaary. Insane. Thrashing. VIOLENT. Violent. Violent. VIOOOOOOOLENT. Scary! Scary! Scary! Dark. Worrisome. Psychotic. PSYCHOTIC! Ooooh, FEAR Korn, the ...
Pros: solid mix of heavy and melodic Cons: a bit overproduced
With 1999's Issues, Korn scored some big hits, but the album was not as solid as it could have been. They returned in 2002 with Untouchables. This one spawned more hits, but the album as a whole wasn't met with much ...
Pros: Consistency is this CD's biggest strength. This is Korn's best album to date. Cons: As usual, the moronic critics trashed this genuinely terrific effort.
Contrary to popular belief, Korn's 2002 flop "Untouchables" is not the horrendous endeavor that the critics and fans made it out to be. It just goes to show how incompetent the music critics really are nowadays. There were numerous reviews I read that ...
Pros:Hollow Life and Wake Up Hate are great. Cons: Little else is worth a nickel.
Dear KoRn, 9 years on the map, and KoRn continues strong. You would continue to be even stronger in your next album. Every great career has its flop, though. Whether its a personal issue with the artist, critical misconception, ...
Pros: A few really good tracks Cons: Mostly mediocre
The Style The godfathers of nü-metal return with their signature sound: tuned down, chugging guitar riffs, tribal drum beats, and thumping bass combined with sometimes whiny, often angry vocals. The Line-Up Jonathan Davis: Vocals James ...
Pros: Great lyrics, great tunes, powerful, meaningful, pretty original, good rebound. Cons: Same types of riffs.
For a few years, Korn's fanbase has been seeming to decline, and I haven't heard any of their recent songs on the radio... just old ones like "Freak on a Leash" and "Falling Away from Me." It's about time that Korn kicked in something new and fresh. And ...
Pros: a couple decent songs Cons: similarities in songs, superficial, empty content, lack of development
This is KoRn's 5th album, "Untouchables." Released in 2002, Untouchables was a much-anticipated album for KoRn in a time when hardcore is filled with popular upcoming bands who havent been around for nearly as long as KoRn has. This album was supposed...
Pros: A great change for Korn. Cons: Just selling out.
Korn where to start? ah yes Korn, Is this the same Korn who came out with great albums in the past such as Follow the leader and issues? Is this the same Korn who released countless CD. singles such as
Freak on a leash, Prison...
Pros: Great new sound, has a true 'album' feel. Cons: No Bagpipes.
Korn had kept us in suspense for too long, and when the album finally came out, the first thing I did was buy it.
I had already heard the single 'hear to stay' and I was addicted to the song. It really is one of Korn's greatest songs. I don't need...
Pros: A mature sound, all tracks are good and a couple are really good. Cons: Not as agressive as previous albums, no bagpipes
I think this is a very underrated Korn album. It definatley deserves more phraise. The sound is different from their other albums but not too different. It feels more mature.
Here to Stay: (10/10)
Possibly one of their greatest songs...
Pros: News sound bass is alot heavier, good songs and lyrics Cons: fans who loved their old stuff thebst may only somewhat like it(no bagpipes)
Well after Issues which was somewhat of a dud, I was personally hoping their next album would surprise us and et back to how good they used to be. After I saw and downloaded Here To Stay off my Kazaa I was blown away at 1st. It was an awesome song, good...
Pros: It's heavy and aggressive, very emotional. Cons: Hey Jon, you forgot the bagpipes!
My Epinion title refers to the Issues cd, ISSUES IS NOT A BAD CD, it's simply an evolution for the band, one that I dont really like, but hey they cant please everyone. I think that Issues had about 5 AWESOME tracks, and they tried to capture the classic...
Pros: A worthy successor to Follow the Leader. Cons: Unfortunately, Issues came between the two.
Korn brought me into rock/metal/whatever. Follow the Leader was a great album that I listend to religiously. So I was naturally excited about Issues. All I say on that subject is that it turned out to be a huge disappointment. Now we...
Pros: Yet another new style by the masters of modern-day originality. Cons: Davis does not sing very hard.
This Korn album is unique in todays style of music, and compared to their previous records. If you take how Jonathan sings in Issues, and mix it with the heavy songs of the past (ex. blind), some actual singing by Davis, you get Untouchables. Davis...
Pros: Exploding sound, deep lyrics, band evolution Cons: Hollow Life...what the?? Don't do that again please
Let me start off by saying to all the loyal korn fans out there that had to sit through nearly 3 yrs of waiting for "Untouchables" to come out...It was worth the wait.
This cd brings together what, i think, the bad has been trying to do for...
