Pros: size, executive features, great reception – world traveler. Cons: Cons: Finish on silver ‘Euro’ model, battery life, menu learning curve.
The Motorola v66 has only been available in the US for about 6 months on the general market, but I purchased one from an European source over a year ago. This version is an unlocked one, meaning that it is not programmed to work solely on...
Pros: Great battery life, Small, Light-weight, Good reception/signal Cons: Can't download rings, Doesn't have external caller ID, SIM card too easily accessed
The v66 isn't as "personalizable" as many other phones on the market - no polyphonic rings, doesn't have a color display, doesn't take photos, etc. However, when it really comes down to it, those aren't really the things I personally want MOST in a ...
Pros: Super light and tiny, great battery, powerful programming. Cons: Pitiful hinge. Pitiful speaker.
The v66 is one of the best phones motorola has made yet. Superior battery life, superlight, supertiny, and great reception. I got this GSM phone overseas before it came to the States, and I always got compliments on the phone. Understated in design ...
Pros: Very Small, Light weight, Clear sound quality, Custom keys and menu Cons: No back-light at night, No external caller ID, Very small keys
Motorola has produced an excellent product with lots of features loaded into a very small unit.
It has got a big three lines screen - useful when reading text messages and writing text messages. Nice ring tones with three different setting -...
Pros: small size/large phonebook/feature packed Cons: no sync cable/few accesories for phone
I purchased this phone a year ago from the local t-mobile store. So far i've been very pleased with it. The phone doesn't have all the bells, and whistles as the newer phones (vga camera/video messaging , etc), but i really don't use this phone for ...
Pros: Very portable, sleek, tons of accessories and user replaceable parts, good reception. Cons: complex Menu, long Antenna, nasty back light colors, no charge/sync cradle in box.
I replaced my beat-up Nokia 8890 with this silver GSM V66 phone. Because it took the now-universal GSM SIM card and it is a very light and small phone.
First the positives:
The phone has two things going for it in portability: size and...
Pros: SMALL!!! LIGHT!!! Easy to access phonebook. Cons: Buttons can be better
First off, try to separate call quality and service quality!!! Call quality on this phone is phenomenal, but that is when you get reception from TMobile. The phone itself is great. TMobile service, on the otherhand, is spotty. Sometimes with almost full ...
Pros: SUPER SMALL!! Motorola product. Long battery life. Cons: Earpiece volume. Stubby antenna. Grayscale display. Not many additional features.
My friend is a comedian. He's funny, real funny! Give him about five years until he surpasses Ray Romano's per episode pay check. He doesn't have a show currently, but he will. You must listen to me when I tell you that this guy is some talent! Why w ...
Pros: Small, lightweight, attractive, customization is easy. Cons: Small keypad, no external caller ID, keypad is not backlit.
You can't beat the size of this phone! One of the reasons I bought it was because if it's portability and weight. One of my pet peeves is having to put my cell phone in my shirt pocket and the shirt just gets completely weighed down (with my old...
Pros: Small, sleek, sturdy,world-class, recognizable Cons: not very loud speaker in outdoor situations
I previously owned a Nokia 8920, which is that tiny phone that everyone commented on. After tiring of it, I got a V.66 because of its world-capability.
I have not used it in other countries, but it's good to know I can when I do travel.
...
Pros: Very Clear, Large Phone Book, Lots of Ring Tones, Online Capablitity Cons: Did not come with a battery charger for the car.
The Motorola V66 works like a dream, you only have to recharge the battery every 4-6 days depending on use. The phone is very clear, the signal comes in strong in many places my other phones wouldn't. Numerous Ring Tones to choose from. The Voice...
Great for a buisness, or someone who doesn't care about lots of features. by compufreek ,Jul 18 '05
Pros: Portable, lightweight, and stylish. simple, great for the buisnessman/woman.INCREDIBLY DURABLE Cons: quiet speaker in large crowds, hinge is kind of cheap (quality wise), not many features
If you've ever noticed, the phones now a days can do everything except- talking (cough moto v600 cough cough). This phone is the exact opposite. No camera, No color screen, basic games, no downloadables, just good for a regular phone. Very durable also, I carry my phone just about everywhere, on intense rollercoasters, I've dropped it on bike rides, in the rain, out a second story window (onto a soft suface, but still). VERY DURABLE. This phone is also great for buisness, because of it's simplicity, and affordability. Ther were a few problems, however, (but i havent come across a phone that there wasn't) the speaker is relitively quiet. For instance, I went to six flags, hurricane harbor, and it started raining, so everyone cleared the water and went into a single shop. My sister called me from home, and I couldn't hear her at all in the large crowd. Also, the hinge is a bit of a problem. I had it 2 weeks, and the hinge was already creaking and clicking.
Pros: Works in Europe as well Cons: I can't really think of anything... oops - sorry...
I've had mine since 2001 !!! and I wouldn't switch (unless they came up with something better - WHICH THEY HAVEN'T !)
Lightweight (exactly 3.00 oz with regular battery and 3.75 oz with double size battery), great reception (I use a wired earphone & mike most of the time as I can hear better that way), flipphone feature protects the phone's face. You can get (from Motorola, as I stay away from non-manufacturer-made parts) 2 types of batteries - the slim one (SNN5611B) which lasts about 1.5-2 hours of continuous use or 2 days before needing a recharge or the double sized (SNN5619A)which lasts about 4-5 hrs cont.use or 4-5 days standby before recharging. I've dropped mine (from a reasonable 3-4 ft height) quite a few times and it doesn't even have a scratch and works fine. I use the double battery at home (keep a recharged one in case of emergency) and use the slim-lightweight one when I go out. Fabulous reception & more memory than I'd ever use. No new-fangled stuff. I want a phone - not a camera, tv, a computer or a washing machine and it's a GREAT phone!
