Pros: Cheap, Clear, practical and free from interference. Cons: No speaker phone, no hold button, 15 mins of recording,
First of all, I had to replace my old panasonic cordless 900mhz phone. My old phone has a problem with 2 buttons. It was so hard to press. The power button and the number 1 button was stuck somehow. I had to hit hard to make it work. Sometimes, when ...

Pros: clear sound, transfer calls between phones, answering machine, call waiting, save numbers on phone Cons: will not reach 200 feet outside house, only make one call at a time
My last phone was a V-tech and it lasted more than three years which I think is quite a while for a telephone that has been abused. So I thought I would try another one of the same brand. I have always been a creature of habit and if I like something I ...

Pros: Good sound quality, affordable Cons: Can't adjust ring tone volume, annoying ring tones
I bought the 2-Handset package (ia5864/ia5869), and paid $49.77 at Wal-Mart. It was the lowest-priced phone that came with both an answering system and dual handsets. My only complaint is that all of the four ringer sounds are nerve-grating and too ...

I HATE THIS PHONE
by tomash ,Jan 31 '07
Pros: CHEAP (in cost & quality) Cons: EVERYTHING
We bought this phone after our AT&T phones cratered. We had them for many years & love them, but trying to save money we bought this set. We bought the main answering machine set along w/ 3 extension phones.
I have small children in the house who are always talking & playing when I'm on the phone. These phones have such a horrible echo that I have to go in the other room & shut the door just to be able to hear the other person.
Like the previous reviewer said, 1/2 the time when you push the buttons it doesn't send the tone through, making it impossible to use the automated phone systems. I have given up using the house phone and use my cell phone.
I am getting rid of these phones. I will throw these in the trash and go buy another AT&T phone.

Garbage
by mulligs ,Sep 29 '06
Pros: Looks hitech Cons: I bet the worlds first phone worked better than this.
Keys don't always register when pressed...this makes phone trees impossible. Speed dial does not work 'cause numbers don't register. Range is worse than my previous 900MHz. I whisper louder than the max volume setting on the answering machine. Static...Static...Static. My first and last Vtech.

Never again!!
by copr ,Jun 18 '07
Pros: Lighted pad, relatively inexpensive Cons: Unreliable
Purchased this phone to replace a Uniden that had done a good job for me. The message recorder had problems soon after purchase so I followed instructions and sent it to the manufacturer for repair and received a refurbished unit. That phone had problems so customer service (in India or Pakistan, I think) arranged for a new phone to be sent to me and provided free shipping for the one I had to be sent back. The new phone had problems with the mouthpiece on one of the units. Since I did not buy the unit direct from V-tech they would not give a refund. I returned it to the store where I bought the first one and managed to get my money back. I now have an AT&T phone that I like. I will NEVER buy another V-tech.
