Pros: Great price, quality picture, easily adjusted/many positions, small size and low weight. Cons: No vertical view, but not a big deal.
I purchased this monitor several months ago for my wifes H

ViewSonic VA1930 19" Wide Screen Monitor
by Kimberleih ,Jan 27 '07
Pros: Sharp, Clear picture with high quality sounding speakers. Cons: Can be costly.
I purchased this monitor for my son. The clarity and color on this unit is excellent. The monitor has integrated stereo speakers that are great sounding. My son listens to music on them, (the unit is located in the basement and I have had to tell him to turn it down!). We have watched movies on this screen and the picture quality is beautiful. I love the sleek styling and bought the ViewSonic based on their reputation. Other members of my family have had or have ViewSonic and swear by them. I have had other LCD monitors that have only lasted a few months and then are out of warranty, and I am out of money and a monitor. My son has had his for 6 months and so far so good. I was so impressed by it's function, that I purchased one for myself. I haven't found anything that I don't like as of yet with this unit. I would recommend it to my friends! Viewsonic may cost a little more, but they are worth it.

ViewSonic VA1930WM
by lumspond ,Mar 30 '07
Pros: Nice picture. Lightweight. Cons: Speakers suck.
Just bought it today at the Shack.
Install CD was a bit screwy. Wouldn't let me open the product manual. Kept insisting it download Acrobat 4.0 when I already have 7.0. Wouldn't let me save it to my desktop either.
Also I can't choose the optimum 1440x900 display. Guess that is a fault of my graphics card in this older Dell Dimension 2400 series.
Picture seems good even at 1280x720.
Speakers sound REALLY tinny. I only had the basic Dell speakers, and they sounded a million times better. I will probably switch back. I don't see any options for adjusting bass/treble of speakers, only volume.

Poor Instructions, Blurry text, Good picture overall
by meandonlyme ,Nov 25 '07
Pros: Adjustable height
nice picture
attractive Cons: poor instructions and customer support
awkward user menu
Why dont they tell you to change your refresh rate before you disconnrct your old crt. Helpdesk was kinda rude and condescending. The text looks a little blurry to me but the rest of it is nice!

Viewsonic VA1930WM
by butch2112 ,Feb 10 '07
Pros: Size, picture, ease of use Cons: None that I see
Just purchased it and love it. I had a different brand and the color was all over the map. This viewsonic works flawlessly right out of the box. I don't use the speaker option so no opinion there. Watch officemax or office depot for sales or open box on this item I got mine well under 200 bucks
