Last year I purchased a V
iewsonic
VX924 19" LCD monitor for my desktop to replace an old Philips 109s CRT that is going on eight years old (and still works as good as it did the first day I brought it home!) I wanted ...
Pros: excellent image and response time, compact footprint, 1280x1024 resolution, low emissions, for PC and Mac Cons: Not height adjustable
For four years, Ive been using the 15" LCD monitor that came with my Gateway computer. My work is becoming more complex. More open windows on the monitor screen, graphic design work, website design, writing, research ... and, ahem, a few games. ...
Pros: Simple to use, easy setup, great color and response. Cons: Non-adjustable base, high cost.
Both I and my boyfriend are computer programmers by trade, so computers are a big part of my life. I spend a lot of time in front of my computer monitor – both at home and at work. I’ve used a number of ViewSonic monitors over the years, I’ve always ...
Pros: Good quality image and response. No problems after 6 months of frequent use. Cons: Stand is tall and not meaningfully adjustable
I bought this monitor to go with my newly built gaming rig this past summer. I decided to treat myself after years tolerating a low-end 19inch CRT. Ive had the 922 now for six months without any problems. I use it exclusively in Dvi mode, ...
Pros: Easy setup. Clear. Bright. Fast. Cons: No vertical adjustment, only tilt.
This monitor on analog is horrid. But when you hook it up with the DVI cable instead of the DB-15, it turns instantly sick. Everything is razor-sharp and rock-solid, and colors come out deep and clear. You have to get pretty close to notice any ...
This monitor really is amazing! I have it hooked up to an EVGA 7800GT video card, and the picture is beautiful. I play Battlefield 2, Counter-Strike Source, Need for Speed Most Wanted, World of Warcraft and all kinds of other games, and I have never seen even the slightest hint of video lag or ghosting with this monitor. It also just plain looks cool, and makes my room itself look better...Definitely 5/5!
Pros: Speed, accuracy and overall design. Cons: Base could be designed slightly better.
I've had this monitor for nearly a year now. Out of all the available 2ms monitors at the time, the VX922 was the only reasonable choice for gaming. It's rarely tuned off. I game for at least 3 hours a day. I've never suffered from any form of smearing, ghosting or other problems inherent with LCD monitors in any of the games I regularly play (CoD2, CoD4, Guild Wars, BF2142).
The only problem I ever had with it was a row of stuck pixels six months into its initial use. This lasted for about two days and eventually corrected itself just before I was to make contact with ViewSonic for an RMA. Six months later and I've not had a reoccurrence *fingers crossed*.
Although it is slightly higher in price, at the time, the VX922 was comparatively priced. I would definitely buy another one given the performance ratings of other monitors, such as Acer and Samsung.
I have seen this monitor which I have found on http:\\www.elivedeals.com for less thank $178 (with rebates). I love this product. It has remarkable display quality and high level of brightness. The image is very crisp. I recommend to buy this one.
