Good For Nothing

by digidealer , Aug 06 '02
Pros: Inexpensive, wide exposure range, can operate without battery
Cons: Unreliable, very basic, poor lens quality, poor customer service
This is very basic and cheap SLR camera, but as always, you get what you pay for. It's manual-only, meaning that you have to focus it and select appropriate exposure and aperture manually, based on a simple "+" or "-" sign appearing in your...

This is a fun little camera

by tatejackson , Mar 16 '04
Pros: Cheap, Light Fun. If you break it, who cares. Good camera to learn with.
Cons: Exposure meter does not stay on after you release the shutter button.
For 93.00 dollars, I didn't expect it to compete with a Nikon F5. I bought this camera so I could always have an slr with me. You know what they say, you can't take the picture if you don't have a camera. I got my refurbished camera from the ...

Other reviewer is obviously not a fanatic
by corvette2005 ,Jun 16 '04
Pros: Basic, manual, perfect for a serious "back to basics" photographer.
Cons: I'm not really sure about the customer service because mine has never broken.
When buying a fully manual camera I hope that the consumer is smart enough to research how to use one and practice. His approach was the equivalent of jumping into a pool without knowing how to swim. This camera was made basic and is very much just that. For the price it is an excellent camera and of course as he said an external flash is required. Which, by the way any dedicated photographer will need any ways. Whomever reviewed this camera before me, I hope that you stick with digital photography because it sounds as if you don't have the know how or the talent to become a true photographer. So digital point and shoot cameras are a cheap way to go around that.
